Aloha, The name is Johnny Walker..I was born in WDC, live in Maryland at the moment..I actually created this page, because I forgot about my previous one. I'll link it when I can.

Currently, I'm a Government Contractor by day, President of an entertainment company by night, professional drummer and tutor on the weekends, and a Hip Hop Artist whenever they pay me to show up lol..

Personally, I'm not your "usual" anything, don't fit into stereotypes and have enough life stories to fill a book...that I am currently writing.

I've worked my butt off to build a secure future for myself, whether I work in the Government for the next 20 years or get signed and go on tour again. Either way, I'm prepared.

In my past, I've taught middle school/high school, been a runway/print model, been in two movies (independent), reality television (yes, I won), and have always worked two or three jobs at a time, because I admire the Jamaican culture so much..

Little Update: I've gone through some changes for the better of late. I changed my goals in life a while back. I used to just strive to 'make a lot of money to retire early'...but now, it's 'make a lot of money, so that I have more to give back'.

I found that I work harder and stay more focused if I know I can help more people, instead of just to buy "stuff." That's the second way I knew it was the right path to take. The first, being the golden rule, which may not be in the Bible, but I think Jesus lived by it.

This last Christmas 2010, I didn't ask for or buy any presents for family or friends, I devoted all of my non-bills funds to buying toys and food for the needy. I had a toy/food/money drive on Facebook that eventually contributed a big bag of clothes and four boxes of toys..enough to feed/cloth/entertain more than a dozen families :)

Not bragging mind you, b/c there's a lot more I want/need to do, but I have to admit, it made me feel a lot better than buying myself anything, so now I'm kinda hooked. I started sponsoring needy children and looking for more charities to give to. A prominent retired member in my church gives to more than 30 charities a month...Thirty.. That's off the charts to me.

I'm still trying to find more financial avenues that will allow me to make a lot of money so that I can at least live comfortably WHILE aiding others whenever possible, so that's what I'm working on now.

I think I have an addictive personality that has led me into negative territory in my past, but nowadays, I don't think I can go wrong by being addicted to helping others and community service.

Anything else you want to know? Hit me with a note/message.

Peace, JW

On anti-integration promoters...

Posted

I type this in response to many people who promote the idea that integration was inherently an bad idea: I just needed to point out that this is a HUGE country. Every single state has different dynamics. Within those states, the communities have even more differences. What may work in your mind, where you live, may have no type of bearing on the reality for the next Black person. Some will say that integration was a bad thing, and that we, as Blacks, have lost something in the process, but... (continue reading)
