Why Women Don`t Have A Man.
Why don`t you have a man?
The answer is simple,
You don`t see me..
but I see you.
Yeah, I see your full lips
full hips
sexy legs
and admire the way you walk
talk
smile
profile
dress with style..
I see you.
I see you when I wake.
I see you when I go to sleep.
I see you on my way to work,
working hard to maintain this game of life.
I dig and respect
what you have accomplished:
and how you get down
to maintain your crown.
And I see a lil` deeper cause I`m a lil` more on point than you
think. You
know me!!..
I`m the brotha` you ignored for the past
few weeks, simply saying good morning.
You know me! I`m the good brother you always say is either gay,
taken, or in
jail.
I`m that good man you say does not exist.
You know me, but you don`t see me..
And you wonder why you don`t have a man?
On the surface, it seems like your
sittin` on top of the world,
And I`m trying` to get inside
converse, and see whats on your mind...
because whats on it
sparks my curiosity
more than your lips or hips.
But you will not let me in.
Me - "Knock Knock."
You- "Who Is It?"
Me - " Good Brother!"
You- "Go Away, there is no such thing!"
You flash your exterior, or should I say
put up this invisible wall ..
so well that no one would ever
be able to tell,
that there is a part of you that`s
neglected.
But I see you.
But I cant even get a "good morning" back
from you.
I`m not intimidated by your confidence
or your constant referring to what you have
done
and how fine you are
or how admired you are by other brothers.
I`m not intimidated by your sexiness,
your incredible strength,
Nor the fact that you are beautiful...
Cause` I`ve told you that a thousand times
before,
and have no problem saying it a thousand
times more.
Are you listening?
I wouldn`t mind giving in to demands you have
within reason, from time to time,
cause` you have to give a little-
especially when it comes to working on a
relationship.
I don`t mind spoiling you on occasion,
like my moms spoiled me,
And I spoiled my sister.
I don`t mind making time for you, when I have it..
Or finding time, even if I really don`t.
So when I smile at you,
and greet you with a hello on the train or bus
or walking across the street.,
or in the grocery store,
Laundromat, or coffee shop...
speak!..its okay!.. I wont bite!..speak!
You may have just pushed away a man
able to handle you...
respect you...
and nurture that neglected part of you.
And you wonder why you don`t have a man?
Maybe because you cant even return a smile.
Maybe its because your too self absorbed in
yourself, your world of beauty,
and your accomplishments to see a man
when he comes knocking.
Maybe you don`t GIVE the very things you say you want in a
relationship.
Maybe you really are afraid of love..
I don`t know.
Maybe its because you belittle us:
Calling us jealous,
Saying we are unable to get a grip on our manhood,
we hate you because your beautiful,
Claiming we run away because you are to
strong for us to deal with,
Maybe because time and time again
you tell us you don`t need us, and
that our minds are unclear about what we want out of life and you.
Maybe its because you think we are all dogs, and humiliate, and
disrespect
our black sisters. Maybe its because you call us insecure.
Are you still wondering why you don`t have a man?
I don`t know why..
But I think you do.
If you wanted a man,
You would see me, and not hold me accountable for another brothers
actions.
If you wanted a man, you would not judge ME like the men that have
run out
of your life.
Realize YOU, as well as I make bad decisions in life and
relationships..Its
up to us to learn the lessons, or mistakes made, and move on to
something
better.
If you want a man
My heart is open,
and its been broken before.
But don`t have to hide my heart
behind what I`ve done
or am doing with my life.
I know I`m strong
I know I`m handsome
I know I`m successful at what I`ve done so
far.
I`m demanding as well,
spoiled, probably the same as you.
I see you...do you see me?
I want to see the side of you,
you hide from the world.
I see you as my equal.
But do you see me?
I don`t think so.
Cause If you did,
you would have a man.so how would you know..if you haven`t given me a try....
