I HAVE HAD

I have had,
An amazing, abundant and wondrous life,
I have had,
High"s so high, they outweigh all turmoil, all strife.
I have had,
The love of family, friends, people and more,
I have had,
The pain and suffering of loosing what I adore.
I have had,
A child who looks at me, as though she needs nothing else to live,
I have had,
An ex-wife, use our child, saying I`m too selfish, and should learn how to give.
I have had,
A life free of debt, success in my career, to where I`ve been carefree,
I have had,
A woman????s discontent, take away from the joy of being me.
I have had,
The chance to walk on all the continents known to man,
I have had,
A chance to look in the mirror and ask ? who I am?
I have had,
A chance to ask a woman to marry me, a top the Eiffel Tower in Paris,
I have had,
That same woman, use me and abuse me, so much, I`m embarrassed.
I have had,
Money, Cars, Clothes, and riches beyond belief,
I have had,
Pain, poverty, and problems that would cause many hearts grief.
I have had,
Barry Bonds, Guinuwine, and Sugar Ray Leonard all call me friend,
I have had,
Feelings that when I pass on, I'd be alone, with no one there in the very end.
I have had,
A woman make love to me like there was no tomorrow,
I have had,
Had that same woman, take her own life the next day, because she had too much sorrow.
I have had,
My world shaken and questioning all of my existence
I have had,
GOD, put me on my knees, and seek him with persistence.

See I have a life that many would covet, be jealous and maybe even kill for.
But, I never really had love in my life, for the one I was supposed to adore.
So all of the high's, all of the lows, were all about me living a life for me.
Now I begun to understand, that Yeshua,
Did all for,
Allowed it to happen,
Just so I could believe.

TO ALL THE KIDS WHO SURVIVED the 1930`s 40`s, 50`s, 60`s and 70`s !!

First, we survived being born to mothers who smoked and/or drank while they were pregnant. They took aspirin, ate blue cheese dressing, tuna from a can, and didn`t get tested for diabetes. Then after that trauma, we were put to sleep on our tummies in baby cribs covered with bright colored lead-based paints. We had no childproof lids on medicine bottles, doors or cabinets and when we rode our bikes, we had no helmets, not to mention, the risks we took hitchhiking. As infants & children, we would ride in cars with no car seats, booster seats, seat belts or air bags. Riding in the back of a pick up on a warm day was always a special treat. We drank water from the garden hose and NOT from a bottle. We shared one soft drink with four friends, from one bottle and NO ONE actually died from this. We ate cupcakes, white bread and real butter and drank koolade made with sugar, but we weren`t overweight because

WE WERE ALWAYS OUTSIDE PLAYING!
We would leave home in the morning and play all day, as long as we were back when the streetlights came on. No one was able to reach us all day. And we were O.K. We would spend hours building our go-carts out of scraps and then ride down the hill, only to find out we forgot the brakes. After running into the bushes a few times, we learned to solve the problem. We did not have Playstations, Nintendo`s, X-boxes, no video games at all, no 150 channels on cable, no video movies or DVD`s, no surround-sound or CD`s, no cell phones, no personal computers, no Internet or chat rooms..........

WE HAD FRIENDS and we went outside and found them!
We fell out of trees, got cut, broke bones and teeth and there were no lawsuits from these accidents. We ate worms and mud pies made from dirt, and the wormsdid not live in us forever. We were given BB guns for our 10th birthdays, made up games with sticks and tennis balls and, although we were told it would happen, we did not put out very many eyes. We rode bikes or walked to a friend`s house and knocked on the door or rang the bell, or just walked in and talked to them! Little League had tryouts and not everyone made the team. Those who didn`t had to learn to deal with disappointment. Imagine that!! The idea of a parent bailing us out if we broke the law was unheard of. They actually sided with the law! These generations have produced some of the best risk-takers, problem solvers and inventors ever! The past 50 years have been an explosion of innovation and new ideas. We had freedom, failure, success and responsibility, and we learned HOW TO DEAL WITH IT ALL! If YOU are one of them, congratulations!

You might want to share this with others who have had the luck to grow up as kids, before the lawyers and the government regulated so much of our lives for our own good . And while you are at it, forward it to your kids so they will know how brave (and lucky) their parents were. Kind of makes you want to run through the house with scissors, doesn`t it?!

GIVE YOUR BEST

People are often unreasonable, illogical and self-centered;
Forgive them anyway.
If you are kind, people mayaccuse youof selfish, ulterior motives;
Be kind anyway.
If you are successful, you will win some false friends and some true enemies;
Succeed anyway.
If you are honest and frank, people may cheat you;
Be honest and frank anyway.
What you spend years building, someone could destroy overnight;
Build anyway
If you find serenity and happiness, they may be jealous;
Be happy anyway.
The good you do today, people will often forget tomorrow;
Do good anyway.
Give the world the best you have, and it may never be enough;
Give the world the best you`ve got anyway.
You see in the final analysis. it is between you and God;
It was never between you and them anyway.
-- Mother Theresa --

Our Deepest Fear

Our deepest fear
is not that we are inadequate.
Our deepest fear
is that we arepowerful
beyond measure.

It is our light, not our darkness,
that most frightens us.
We ask ourselves,
"Who am I to be Brilliant,
Gorgeous, Talented and fabulous?"

Who are you not to be?

You are a child of the Universe.
Your playing small
does not serve the world.

There is nothing enlightened
about shrinking
So that other people won`t feel
insecure around you.

We were born to make manifest
The Glory of the Universe
that is within us.

It`s not just in some of us;
It is in everyone.

As we let our ownlightshine,
we unconsciously give other people
permission to do the same.

As we are liberated
from our own fear,
our presence automatically
liberates others.
