2 truths and a lie

Two of these are true about me. No joke. Which one's the lie? Take a guess...

personal message

In Cherokee Native American language, one meaning of the word “Kamama” is butterfly. In general, the butterfly is a Native American totem that symbolizes any and all of the following: transformation, ability to accept change, the next step, balance, grace, and spiritual growth, as the butterfly is the only living organism that's capable of changing its entire genetic structure (DNA) from caterpillar to butterfly. Native Americans believe that the butterfly represents the spirit changing and evolving to an ascended level of consciousness, and that the power the butterfly holds is the power of air, which rules the mind and mental processes. There are five changes that butterflies go through in their transformation process. Each stage represents the following in Native American beliefs: 1) the egg stage represents the beginning of change. 2) The larvae stage represents the stage of creativity. 3) The cocoon stage represents the stage of going within to mature and cultivate the creative idea. 4) The transformation stage represents the breaking of the cocoon, stage of birth and coming into your own. 5) The final stage as a matured butterfly is the stage of application and sharing what you have created.

I liken my life to that of the metamorphosis of a butterfly, for I am always evolving. It's truly been rough from the beginning, change has been constant and necessary for survival and growth. In spite of it all I am a relatively healthy, resilient and fun-loving person. Although mixed bloods run through my veins I am predominatly African American in appearance; caramel colored, with brown eyes and black hair. I am petite, have a sincere sense of humor, enjoy a variety of music, fine arts, creative writing, good food, cooking, movies, biking, dancing, research and learning new things. Although it would be nice to meet a gentleman with whom I can share mutual respect and adoration, my primary purpose for re-joining Black Planet is to contribute positively and connect with men and women from all walks of life and with those whom I share common interests. I value friendship and will respect you if you respect me. I'd like to keep it light, have some fun, and grow in this wonderful online community.
