All of our lives in the south we were forced from a Young age to go to church and to believe in something that None of US could understand thoroughly.

we were in church trying to understand what made our elders dance and shout and share with us that they were being moved by an energy that seems to only hit you after you have either experienced a life altering event or if you had reached a certain age.

Considering that US millennials actually have grandparents whose parents were sharecroppers and who had parents that were slaves, its not hard today to understand why it seemed as if only our elders had a testimony that only they knew it had to be the most high that got them through it.
