On a positive note, Check out "Doubling the Derricos". A Black couple living in Las Vegas (originally from Detroit), with 11 kids (many are twins, triplets, & even a set of quints). All with the SAME Dad and Mom. One last run with triplets on the way. Fun to watch and how they keep the little ones organized, clean, fed, schooled, and entertained. Anyone who came from a big family or grew up with cousins will appreciate this show. I believe it is Bravo or TLC. Oh.....and both parents still have a sense of humor and looks young!!!

What the HELL???! Now, we have this Amoeba from pools, lakes & fresh water -- some type of micro cell that can only be seen with a microscope -- swimming into your nose, up to your brain, destorys brain tissue and you are gone!! Symptoms of the infection start with severe headache, fever, nausea and vomiting and can progress to a stiff neck, seizures and coma according to the CDC. Another possible infection risk: nasal irrigation (also known as neti pots) with contaminated tap water.Poor Eddie Gray, 59 years of age, of Cumberland County. This and flesh- eating bacteria (Florida man) sounds like something from a horror movie. Warm weather be DAMNED!! How can you protect yourself? Your best bet is to keep your head out of the water when swimming in lakes and rivers. Or better yet, wear nose plugs. OK everyone!! Watch your kids, wife, family & friends. Just play in the sprinkler or put water & a few ice cubes in the kiddie pool to stay cool......This is a long, hot, miserable summer!!!!

Who else thinks Wesley Snipes should be casted as an elder in the making of the new Blade? He is definitely an Icon in the Blade series and martial arts movies of the 80s/90s. He actually had the first idea of Black Panther in the 1990s with John Singleton. Singleton wanted to go with a militant character and Snipes wanted to showcase the brillance of Africa (along the lines of what we see today) -- so the philosophies were different. He has always been in shape and a forerunner of new things for Hollywood. I didn't know Wesley started off as a dancer in the late 80s. Wow!!

Summer is here & everyone is trying to stay cool. Please be careful in pools & lakes for Alabama, Florida, Louisiana, Mississippi, and Texas. We have seen an increase in that Flesh-Eating Bacteria which attacks immune systems through cuts, sores or those getting out of the hospital for some treatments. I think I will just run through the sprinkler system or take cold showers to cool off!!

Well, NOW, it's summer with 72 to 80 degrees in the northern cold states. But with every summer, comes a reminder--Safety first!! Don't move too fast in these relationships to fall into something you will regret. Be friends first (getting to know each other) and lovers much later. Get tested & use condoms if you decide to be intimate/sleep together. No amount of fun is worth dying for.....if he/she wants to go raw with you, who else has he/she been with in the last few months?? Genital herpes, STI/STDs and craziness abounds!! Today's sexual diseases are chronic: can last for years or be lifelong--Symptoms can recur for years. Stay celibate or date a man worthy of marriage. Remember, cleanliness is next to Godliness!! I come from a family of nurses and this stuff is no joke!

Congrats to Toronto Raptors -- NBA Champions!! Way to go guys! Parade tomorrow Monday 6/17/2019 in Toronto. It is going to be a great summer UP NORTH!!

So much "stuff" out here. Game players, scammers, cheaters/lies, etc etc. Why can't people be honest & be themselves? Do they NOT like who they are so they have to fabricate being something else? Life is too short for such nonsense. Get you Life and organize it!! We ALL have expiration dates--don't let the clock run down with nothing to show worth while. Summer gives the freedom for community/church activity, help the homeless, donate to Salvation Army/charites, take a language class, pick up trash in the neighborhood -- just do something!!
