A Mere Thought

Posted

I have no desire
To be a mere thought
But the sum of my
Inner-most emotions
....Where heartstrings
Often tangle
Strangle
a feeling

Profound
....of muffled
Sound
....Stuttered
Into existence
loaded pen
filled to the brim
with
melancholy ink
....Spilling into
intricate passageways
of my minds eye
Onto the highways
and byways
interconnecting with
rivers of happiness
springing forth
... (continue reading)

Katrina - The 'Quiet, before the Storm.'

R.I.P. Dolores Lipscomb, Katrinas beloved Mother....
Dedicated to my Mother Dolores Mary Lipscomb July, 1934 - August, 2008
Mom, may you 'finally' rest in peace knowing you were loved far beyond reason!

For Mom Current mood: Profoundly Sad Category: Life

Buttercup Love

With so much love I dedicate this to my Buttercup Mamma..

Lift me up little buttercup
Be my foundation
My spirit
My muse.

Pick me up little buttercup
When I'm lonely
When I'm lost
When I'm blue.

See, you were Mamma's
Inspiration
Now she struggles and strives
For respiration.

Her lungs are weak
Her spirit strong
Her eye's often leak
But her heart continues
To sing life's
Song.

She told me that hidden
Within your yellow
Reflection
Was
Life's ultimate wisdom
Guiding us in
The most spiritual
Direction.

Like the solitary
Weeping willow
You sprung from mother earth
Where butterfly's and
Dragons breath
Spread joy and laughter
At your behest.

That deep within
You hold the spirit
Of an Angel
Radiating beautiful
Yellow light as
Your blossoms take flight.

So now I ask that you
Bring Mamma back her smile
On her final journey
On her final ship
Place a buttercup kiss
Upon her delicate lips.

Lift her from her pain
Lift her from her bed
Give her back her voice
So she can make a choice,

To lay

In the very grass
As I
In that imaginary place
Where we can fly.

Let her remember the times
When she looked out her window
Watched us lay upon the snow
Which often sparkled and glowed.

While Dad spun us round and round
Until we were dizzy
While my favorite dog Lizzy
With her snowballs
Was busy.

She'd simply look out and smile
Waiting for the spring
When the buttercups would
Blossom and bloom
Brightening up
Even the
Loneliest
Room.

Then she'd fling open the door
Open wide her arms
Beckon us to he kitchen
For her famous fried chicken.

Her face like an Angel
Her smile full of love
Her eyes how they sparkled
Like the brilliant stars above.

So you say, what's in a buttercup?
Will you ever look at it the same?
Or will the thought of it now brighten
Even your days full of emotional rain?

Just think of Lady's Mamma
How she sparkles
How she shines
How the simply story
Of a Buttercup

Through the hardest
Times
Some peace
She'd
Find.

Imagination

Lingering among the golden flowers
On a sun baked day
Thoughts wandering
Hair blowing in a breeze
Ladybugs lazily basking in the glow
While a slight breeze choreographs a dance
Among the leaves woven upon the branches
Of natures tall and pristine trees
Imagination takes the helm of my conscious mind
Fueled by the beauty of nature untamed
Of an infinite world in my minds eye
Untainted and without a name.

Birds singing beautiful songs of love
While cumulous clouds hover and make
Beautiful pictures above
While feathers float by
Shed by doves in the sky
As I imagine the feeling
Of being able to fly.

To soar over the real world
Erasing all of its pain
To drown all the worlds sorrow
With a downpour of rain.

In this world there's only laughter
Children frolicking under the stars
Mothers praying, fathers playing
The moon playing a lark
Spreading melodic music to
Constellations near and far

I lay upon the silky grass
With a sparkle in my eye
Thankful for imagination
For within ones minds eye
They can still believe
This tainted world
Will be given
One final reprieve.

Poetry and art are my driving force as well as a love for communicating with others on the same 'page.' ... Can you feel me? So, please..I'm not looking for a one night stand, a friend with benefits, a husband or a future 'X' husband.. just looking to possibly make good friends, engage in stimulating conversation and maybe fall prey to some profoundly lyrical expression!

For my Dear(((((((((((((((((* Angel Sis *))))))))))))))))))))))))

Those whom we Love live in our *HEARTS* Spirits FOREVER

* I LOVE YOU* Your Sis Jill XOXOXOXOXOXOXOXO

Presence

Multifaceted teardrops
Pelt and pour
Abundantly
For a loss
Memories
Live forever
So, does the absence
Of your presence
Death is
Inevitable
But ,never
Quite expected
Nor,accepted
I weep
Pray
Seeking solace
And in raw
Helplessness
Come
Together
in my
Faith
Giving of myself
And receiving
From others
With a rare and
Divine gentleness
Sublimely
I share
And honor
An indescribably
Beautiful Spirit
Breathing Love
And life
Within my
Soul
Every day
Your Spirit
Is
Alive in my
Heart
Until we
Meet again
