personal message

Welcome to Lend-a-Hand`s Home. . . . .Do enjoy your visit....May God bless and keep all who have entered....One Love, BP

Hello friends, Lend-a-Hand is what I do each time I commit to walk and raise donations for so many worthy causes. Just a few are March of Dimes, Arthritis Foundation, Making Strides Against Breast Cancer, National Diabetes Association and a few others. ....
You Are 50% Left Brained, 50% Right Brained
The left side of your brain controls verbal ability, attention to detail, and reasoning.
Left brained people are good at communication and persuading others.
If you're left brained, you are likely good at math and logic.
Your left brain prefers dogs, reading, and quiet.

The right side of your brain is all about creativity and flexibility.
Daring and intuitive, right brained people see the world in their unique way.
If you're right brained, you likely have a talent for creative writing and art.
Your right brain prefers day dreaming, philosophy, and sports.

Are You Right or Left Brained?

You Mostly Have Your Emotions in Check
Sometimes your emotions get out of control, but you usually are a pretty stable person.
You can find a lot to be happy about, as long as things are going your way.
But if a few bad things happen to you, you tend to go in a bit of a downward spiral.
Luckily, you usually come out of it okay and no worse for the wear.

I like to soak up the sun, but my tastes are down to earth. Everyone thinks I'm cute. Life is a winding road, and I like to take the curves in stride. Let other people compete in the rat race - I'll just sit here to enjoy the ride.

Take the Which Sports Car Are You? quiz.

I'm a Mazda Miata!

May this encourage you always.

Don't spend major time with minor people . If there are people in your life who continually disappoint you, break promises, stomp on your dreams, too judgmental, have different values and don't have your back during difficult times...that is not a friend.

To have a friend, be a friend. Sometimes in life as you grow, your friends will either grow or go. Surround yourself with people who reflect values, goals interests and lifestyle.

When I think of any of my successes, I am thankful to GOD from whom all blessings flow, and to my family and friends who enrich my life.

Over the years my phone book has changed because I changed for the better. At first you think you're going to be alone, but after a while new people show up in your life who make your life so much sweeter and easier to endure.

Remember what your elders used to say, 'Birds of a feather flock together. If you're an eagle, don't hang around chickens: Chickens Can't Fly!

I love the Lord and thank Him for all that he does in my life, therefore, I'm passing this on. Yes I do love Jesus. He is my source of existence and Savior. He keeps me functioning each and everyday. Without Him, I will be nothing.

Without Him, I am nothing but with Him I can do all things. Phil 4:13

Be Positive - Be Progressive - Take the time to make a positive difference in someone's life.

Walk by faith, Not by sight Receive God's blessings

I don't play games, and I don't entertain those who do. I enjoy the simple things in life. I believe that it's important to have what you need, not always what you want. Not at all materialistic. Not a name brand junkie. I enjoy quiet times at home, listening to smooth mellow music, taking long walks and enjoying nature.

A Soulful Relationship
by Reverend Ronald McFadden

> If you're not married yet, share this with a friend. > If you are married, share it with your spouse or other married > couples.. and reflect on it.

> An African proverb states, "Before you get married, > keep both eyes open, and after you marry, close one > eye."

> Before you get involved and make a commitment to > someone, don't let lust, desperation, immaturity, > ignorance, pressure from others or a low self-esteem > make you blind to warning signs. Keep your eyes open, > and don't fool yourself that you can change someone or > that what you see as faults aren't really important.

> Once you decide to commit to someone, over time their > flaws, vulnerabilities, pet peeves, and differences > will become more obvious.

If you love your mate and want the relationship to > grow and evolve, you've got to learn to close one eye > and not let every little thing bother you. > You and your mate have many different expectations, emotional needs, > values, dreams, weaknesses, and strengths. You are two unique individuals > who have decided to share a life together.

> Neither of you are perfect, but are you perfect for > each other? Do you bring out the best of each other? > Do you compliment and compromise with each other, or > do you compete, compare, and control? What do you > bring to the relationship? Do you bring past > relationships, past hurt, past mistrust, past pain?

> You can't take someone to the altar to alter him or > her. You can't make someone love you or make someone > stay. If you develop self-esteem, spiritual > discernment, and "a life", you won't find yourself > making someone else responsible for your happiness or responsible for > your pain. Manipulation, control, jealousy, neediness, and > selfishness are not the ingredients of a thriving, healthy, loving > and lasting relationship.

> Seeking status, sex, wealth, and security are the > wrong reasons to be in a relationship.

> What keeps a relationship strong?

> Communication, intimacy, trust, a sense of humor, > sharing household tasks, some getaway time without > business or children and daily exchanges (a meal, > a shared activity, a hug, a call, a touch, a note). > Leave a nice message on their voicemail or send a nice email. Sharing > common goals and interests.

> Growth is important. Grow together, not away from each other, giving > each other space to grow without feeling insecure. Allow your mate to > have outside interest. You can't always be together. Give each other > a sense of belonging and assurances of commitment. Don't try > to control one another. Learn each other's family situation. > Respect his or her parents regardless. > Don't put pressure on each other for material goods. > Remember for richer or for poorer. If these qualities > are missing, the relationship will erode as > resentment, withdrawal, abuse, neglect, dishonesty, > and pain replace the passion.

> " Nurture your mind with great thoughts, for you will > never go any higher than you think." The grass > withers, the flowers fades, but the word of God stands forever. > Isaiah 40:8 Shall we make a new rule of life from tonight.

> Always to try to be a little kinder than is necessary. > The difference between 'United' and 'Untied' is where > you put the i.

> Life is not measured by the number of breaths we take, > but by the moments that take our breath away. > > ANYONE WHO PRESCRIBES THE DIAMETER OF YOUR KNOWLEDGE... > CONTROLS THE CIRCUMFERENCE OF YOUR ACTIVITY.

A Strong Prayer - God Has Amazing Things in Store for You

Stars do not struggle to shine, rivers do not struggle to flow, and you will never struggle to excel in life, because you deserve the best.
Hold on to your dream and it shall be well with you... Amen.
The eyes beholding this message shall not behold evil, the hand that will send this message to others shall not labor in vain, the mouth saying Amen to this prayer shall laugh forever, and remain in God's love.
Your dream will not die, your plans will not fail, your destiny will not be aborted, and the desire of your heart will be granted in Jesus' name.
None goes to the river early in the morning and brings dirty water. As you are up this morning, may your life be clean, calm and clear like the early morning water.
May the grace of the Almighty support, sustain and supply all your needs according to His riches in glory. Amen.
The will of God will never take you where the grace of God will not protect you. I see something good happening to you, something that you have been waiting to experience.
You will receive a divine visitation that will move your life forward mightily by the outworking of God's unstoppable Power. AMEN!
Love, Live and Lean on the Lord. May all your days be wonderful in Jesus' name.
Blessings to you and yours
Always, Lend-a-Hand

WHEN YOU THOUGHT I WASN'T LOOKING (Written by a former child)
A message every adult should read, because children are watching you and doing as you do, not as you say. When you thought I wasn't looking,I saw you hang my first painting on the refrigerator, and I immediately wanted to paint another one.

When you thought I wasn't looking, I saw you feed a stray cat, and I learned that it was good to be kind to animals.

When you thought I wasn't looking,I saw you make my favorite cake for me and I learned that the little things can be the special things in life.

When you thought I wasn't looking,I heard you say a prayer, and I knew there is a God I could always talk to and I learned to trust in God.

When you thought I wasn't looking,I saw you make a meal and take it to a friend who was sick, and I learned that we all have to help take care of each other.

When you thought I wasn't looking,I saw you give of your time and money to help people who had nothing and I learned that those who have something should give to those who don't.

When you thought I wasn't looking,I saw you take care of our house and everyone in it and I learned we have to take care of what we are given.

When you thought I wasn't looking,I saw how you handled your responsibilities, even when you didn't feel good and I learned that I would have to be responsible when I grow up.

When you thought I wasn't looking,I saw tears come from your eyes and I learned that sometimes things hurt, but it's all right to cry.

When you thought I wasn't looking,I saw that you cared and I wanted to be everything that I could be.

When you thought I wasn't looking,I learned most of life's lessons that I need to know to be a good and productive person when I grow up.

When you thought I wasn't looking,I looked at you and wanted to say, "Thanks for all the things I saw when you thought I wasn't looking.

Each of us (parent, grandparent, aunt, uncle, teacher or friend) influence the life of a child. How will you touch the life of someone today?

A Loving Memorial Tribute!
***TO MY BOYS***

"My boys were my precious gems
I miss you so very much my sweets,
Without you, I will always feel incomplete,
You were deeply loved from the very start,
And your wonderful presence shall remain always in my heart,
You were my babies, my sons, my love,
I release you both now, to the care of the Lord above.

The Secret

One day, one friend asked another,
"How is it that you are always so happy?
You have so much energy, and you never seem to get down."
With her eyes smiling, she said, "I know the Secret!"
"What secret is that?"
To which she replied, "I`ll tell you all about it,
but you have to promise to share the Secret with others."
"The Secret is this:
I have learned there is little I can do in my life that will make me truly happy.
I must depend on God to make me happy and to meet my needs.
When a need arises in my life, I have to trust God to supply according to HIS riches.
I have learned most of the time I don`t need half of what I think I do.
He has never let me down.
Since I learned that `Secret`, I am happy."
The questioner`s first thought was,
"That`s too simple!"
But upon reflecting over her own life she recalled how she thought a bigger house would make her happy, but it didn`t!
She thought a better paying job would make her happy, but it hadn`t.
When did she realize her greatest happiness?
Sitting on the floor with her grandchildren,
playing games, eating pizza or reading a story, .....a simple gift from God.
Now you know it too!
We can`t depend on people to make us happy.
Only GOD in His infinite wisdom can do that.
Trust HIM! And now I pass the Secret on to you!
So once you get it, what will you do?
YOU have to tell someone the Secret, too!
That GOD in His wisdom will take care of YOU!

Happy Pentecostal Sunday. Have a Holy Spirit Filled Week!

Ten days after Jesus ascended into heaven, the twelve apostles, Jesus' mother and family, and many other of His disciples gathered together in Jerusalem for the Jewish harvest festival that was celebrated on the fiftieth day of Passover. While they were indoors praying, a sound like that of a rushing wind filled the house and tongues of fire descended and rested over each of their heads. This was the outpouring of the Holy Spirit on human flesh promised by God through the prophet Joel (Joel 2:28-29). The disciples were suddenly empowered to proclaim the gospel of the risen Christ. They went out into the streets of Jerusalem and began preaching to the crowds gathered for the festival. Not only did the disciples preach with boldness and vigor, but by a miracle of the Holy Spirit they spoke in the native languages of the people present, many who had come from all corners of the Roman Empire. This created a sensation. The apostle Peter seized the moment and addressed the crowd, preaching to them about Jesus' death and resurrection for the forgiveness of sins. The result was that about three thousand converts were baptized that day. (You can read the Biblical account of Pentecost in Acts 2:1-41).
