Black Planet...a forum for people of color. In all our beautiful complexions..professions...fro m all over the world..men and women.

Some of us..serious... thought provoking..jokesters..minister s..business professionals..some of us..just silly and crazy...and yet..still others..serious..and controversial. Can't forget about the lonely hearts ..and the sex starved. A combination of all of who we are.  This culture..of ours, I love it. I joined many years ago, because it keeps me connected to all the sistas and brothas close by and far away.

So..brothas..when you run across my page, im not parading myself for you..we may never meet but we should definitely greet one another with mutual respect. For my sistas...I am a heterosexual, but will engage in conversation whether it be a business proposition...or support for your cause..or perhaps even my cause. 

One of my favorite things..on  BP is Blogs, I love these mini novellas, that our talented people write. If you like or support black authors..then you should sink your brain into some of the rants and raves that go on here! Same goes for music.. a lot of artists here, with catalogs of original music. We should really support one another. What about all the entrepreneurs, promoting within..we should support their business and spread the word.

I live in Houston, by way of Baton Rouge,Louisiana. Been here a year, and I would like to make new friends, hang out..in one of the many restaurants...have a cocktail. Perhaps visit your church. Make new friends male or female...I came from having a very busy social life, with lifelong friendships, so I miss that, but Im loving Houston too.

I am a single mom,I have an adult son, and a 9 yr old daughter..and this summer I will turn 40!I'm the average chick...easy on the eyes...5'8  I weigh #@&pds..and Im fairly cute..lol..but what I don't have energy or time for..is men who fall in love overnight...or crazies. I do want to pace myself..and get to know you. There is an art to dating...and too many of us...just want to skip that part of it. There is  a lot to be said, for making a serious effort to sit down and talk like grown ups, and then taking some time..to see if it is right for you. 

Black Planet is just a unique place, it needs some upgrades in a lot of areas, but I always find that this is my cyberhome, for real one on one communication within our culture. If you wasn't a supporter..you wouldnt be reading my page..right now..lol.
