I know this comes across as harsh but there are a lot of men on the site with fake profiles claiming to be from the U.S. but are overseas working as contractors or engineers or seeing about their sick mothers (every mama in Africa must be sick). I've watched as acquaintances have fallen for their scams. I don't know if they are seeking money or green cards but it won't happen here. Now, if that didn't scare you off, keep reading:

Hello! I've been on and off BP several times over the years but I always come back to keep in touch with the black community. I'm not here to date and especially not here for sex. I'm 34, single (truly single not single when convenient) and I don't have any children. I'm not opposed to dating and relationships, I just prefer not to waste my time. The person I give my heart to must be someone I can call 'friend' first. I am here to find American friends (male or female) with similar interests. I love reading, writing, sewing, hair styling, the theater,visiting national parks and historic sites, and spending time with loved ones. All of my friends are married and/or have kids (some with grandkids). If you are a smoker or drinker, we won't get along. I know way too many people in this small town that think cigarettes, alcohol, and drugs are a hobby. Please don't try me just to see if I'm being honest. I've never smoked or done any illegal substances and I rarely have more than 4 drinks in a year.

The username, Loving Me Naturally, was chosen to indicate a new path I've taken recently. It's been over 3 years since I cut off over a foot of healthy, chemically relaxed hair and unveiled a half inch of curly crown. I've enjoyed every curl that sprouted in absolute awe and will never regret my decision to go natural. God created me and my beautiful tresses and I think the job He did is just fine! The pics are always current and reflect how far I've come since cutting my hair off. If the pictures I have aren't enough, please feel free to move on to the next profile.
