About me: Mercury, a 27 year old Queens born New Yorker, re-located to Southern New Jersey at an early age where he now resides. As a part of New Jerseys then bourgeoning bed of talent, he perfected his craft. Upon traveling to New York to solicit work, his talent came to impress the sought after Bad Boy Hit Man Stevie J who brought him around to numerous studios. Many months of daily studio-hopping paid off. Around 2000, he and a childhood friend whod formed a new partnership, MEGAHERTZ Music Group, had their first major break. Their work impressed Busta Rhymes who had them work artists such as female rap phenom Rah Digga for her debut as well as Busta's Flip Mode Squad. They also completed work on "Baby's Momma" featuring Snoop Dogg on R&B icon Babyfaces Face 2 Face album. But their biggest success would come when they produced the huge 2001 hit by P. Diddy and the Bad Boy Family, "Bad Boy 4 Life". Shortly after this major achievement the two parted ways and ceased to work together as partners. Now solo again and producing under a new name, Mercury is poised to be one of the hottest next-generation producers in hip-hop. Citing main influences as DJ Premier,Dr.Dre and Organized noize. Mercury blends a soulful method of creating tracks along with neck-snapping drum patterns. His drums and tracks knock with an intensity seldom heard prior to a final mix. Works include "Don't push me away" from Jim Jones Hustler's P.o.m.e album, "All Over Again" from Raekwon's (of Wu Tang Clan) debut album on Universal Records, The Lex Diamond Story and Erykah Badu's "Danger" International Remix. Warner UKs future R&B star Sef created club magic with Mercury on his forthcoming 1st single, "Them Girls". He is also currently working with several top writers including South Jerseys red-hot duo 9-2-5 (City High; Caramel) and Ryan Toby (Usher; Caught Up, Superstar). This year, Mercury has also traveled abroad to expand to the European market working with Germanys premier platinum emcee Raptile and also Four Musics superstars Afrob and powerhouse chanteuse Joy . He's also entered the film and TV world with placements in the feature film King's Ransom and the theme song to MTV/ P Diddy's Making the Band 3. Affiliated with BMI and administered by Spirit Music, much more is in store for 2008 and beyond!!!
