Name Origin......Akowa is a tribal name from Ghana pronounced Ah-Koo-wah



Meaning..........Beautiful Princess born on a Wednesday (and I was.)



Childhood Name...My grandmother refered to me as her Precious Pretty. I occasionally use this as an online name.



My Passion..........Singing and Hearing Beautiful Voices. Writing original songs from my experience and my soul that exemplify how wonderful God is and how much He loves us.













I love to sing and to laugh. My music is very important to me because it has always been a part of my life.



I`d also like to take a minute to honor my friends and family, especially my 4+ year old, little man, Kareem Joseph. They are more important to me than they could ever know and I`d like to take this time to publicly proclaim my love for them.



Finally, for all of my sisters and brothers out there, like myself, who made a few unwise decisions during early adulthood, I`d like to say just keep on living. I am now back in school, pursuing my BS in International Business. As an older, more mature student, I`m finding this to be quite rewarding and beneficial to me. I`m positive that everything in life is predestined of God and He controls my Destiny.



That being said, I know that I`m blessed and highly favored of God. I can truly say that He has moved beyond measure in the lives of my Mother, my son and I this year and I`m grateful. I thank God for experiences, even those that don`t fare well, and opportunities. In the Japanese culture, there`s no word that means failure. The closest translation would be opportunity. The opportunity to try again, to perfect your craft or your self, or to try something new. Let`s adopt that same attitude as a people and embrace all of our opportunities. It`s time for us to GROW!!!
