November 5, 2008 Last night America elected the first Black President ever, and although, I am Canadian I was very strongly aware and paid studious attention to the election. Because this wasn't just America's election it was a GLOBAL election. Barack Obama was the world's "candidate" he was the global response to the Bush regime, their illegal tactics and the "old boys" club. Twenty-five years ago the Country of Ethopia was suffering from a devastating famine. Resulting in thousands of deaths and illnesses. The world rallied around celebrities wrote a song and had a concert. But a month later the world forgot. And, now twent-five years later they are no farther a head then they where then. After watching CNN and their coverage of the Middle East I was frightenened. The media in the Western world is huge, and responsible for the delivery of local and International news. But who decides what is news worthy and in which fashion it should be distributed. See the thing that bothers me is all the news and T.v stations are owned by three individuals, who are probably Republican supportes and part of the "old boys network".
