Mother,
servant of God, student, lady in waiting,
And a hard working woman.
I am hopeful that love will come my way.
See experience has taught me well,
therefore,
I don't mind waiting.
I am a woman who has learned to love herself despite her past; and yes, I do believe that God always makes a way.
I am that child who was used,
Abused.
Hands always touching me,
My secret garden wasn't my own.
I learned to know it's face.
Wherever I'd go I could feel it's eyes watching me.
Shame kept me still, immovable, and silent.
Lost, no hope.
Having the courage to finally speak was a great release.
Still shame reminded me that eyes were watching me.
Why, what did you do to make them do this to you they asked.
I replied I was ME, I sat quietly, I hoped they wouldn't notice me.
I sat there always mindful to breath quietly.
So they wouldn't notice me.
I am a survivor.
I survived,
And these scars still remind me of who I am, and where I have been.
Yes, promiscuity I have been there too,
feeling nothing.
Abusive relationships, failed relationships.
His fault or mine
Oh, yes I have been there too.
Yearning so much to feel love,
and TO be loved.
Not really knowing what love was;
after all how could love see me.
Shame reminded me.
Losing a child now that pain is indescribable.
Still Here.
My secret garden is my own.
I have learned.
How to truly enjoy my Man's touch.
I can feel.
My passion speaks loudly
Boldly.
I am not afraid.
