Hello.......If country livin' and animals are your thing, you've come to the right place! I live on 22 acres and have two horses and a miniature donkey, about 50-60 birds and fowl, 6 cats, two rabbits, and one dog, and a tortoise. Since I got the donkey, my dog has been pretty much relieved of her guard duties. YAY....on behalf of my dog!!! The donkey will see to it that no coyote gets in and disturbs the coop. I'm an animal lover by nature and tend to lean toward picking up unwanted animals as opposed to forking out thousands for something that may or may not be as rewarding to have. Besides the animals, I absolutely love fishing. No boats on the ocean though, just the thought sends my stomach churning. I will however go out on a lake. But my all time favorite is river or stream fishing.

So...if you aren't afraid of horse manure in the treads of your boots, snakes, ticks, and the occassional whiff of skunk, drop me a note.

Speaking of snakes, my home is underground (called an 'Earthshelter'), and I do get snakes inside from time to time. Fortunately they are garter snakes........so far!

The latest picture of El Bravo, the horses (Amiga and Dakota), and Okie, and me too, is thanks to 'Blue'. What a great photographer you are!!! One of my favorite pictures.

A few changes since my last update. I lost my Peruvian Paso, Amiga in April. It was time to let her go. I have gained a new equine named Beetlejuice. He's a handful and I love him. I also have acquired some doves. We will not go there on how that happened. It just does! Oh, and somehow I am up to twelve turkeys. But...Thanksgiving is just around the corner....

I've done it again!!! Couldn't say "no" to this little guy, so he is now mine. I named him El Nino. He's a 5 month old miniature horse.

Update for March 2011.. Lets see, I am up one horse (a mini), down to 4 cats, up to about 80 plus birds, also up in the rabbit department(10), down to 6 turkeys, up to 5 doves...please, stop me anytime!!! And still I have my ever faithful, albeit tired dog, Retta! Oh, I recently bought a pontoon boat, so I'll be "gone fishing" You'll just have to come find me out there somewhere on Santa Margarita lake! Carry On............

Update 10/12/2011: I have acquired a couple more critters, but have unloaded more!! Got rid of 6 turkeys, sold 6 rabbits (kept two). I have a pig I named Spam, and a bearded dragon I named Bob. Always something new happening around here!
