Sometimes the soul of a dead person has been so tainted with evil that it is denied entrance to heaven. It must endlessly wander the borderlands between worlds, desperately searching for a new body to inhabit.
And sometimes it actually succeeds.
Writer/director David Goyer (Blade: Trinity, The Invisible, Batman Begins) gives a terrifying glimpse into the life of the undead in The Unborn, a supernatural thriller that follows a young woman pulled into a world of nightmares when a demonic spirit haunts her and threatens everyone she loves.
Casey Beldon (Odette Yustman) hated her mother for leaving her as a child. But when inexplicable things start to happen, Casey begins to understand why she left. Plagued by merciless dreams and a tortured ghost that haunts her waking hours, she must turn to the only spiritual advisor, Sendak (Gary Oldman), who can make it stop.
With Sendak’s help, Casey uncovers the source of a family curse dating back to Nazi Germany—a creature with the ability to inhabit anyone or anything that is getting stronger with each possession. With the curse unleashed, her only chance at survival is to shut a doorway from beyond our world that has been pried open by someone who was never born. MEAGAN GOOD (Romy Marshall) is quickly becoming one of Hollywood's most sought-after young actresses. Currently, she can be seen in the newest installment of the horror franchise Saw V. Good was recently seen in the comedy The Love Guru, with Mike Myers and Justin Timberlake. She was also seen in Screen Gems' box-office hit Stomp the Yard, opposite Columbus Short, Ne-Yo and Brian White.
Good played the lead female role in Waist Deep, opposite Tyrese Gibson, for Rogue Pictures. Miles From Home, an independent feature that Good executive produced and starred in opposite actor/director Ty Hodges, has been on the independent film circuit. Miles From Home premiered at the Pan African Film & Arts Festival, the Washington, D.C. Independent Film Festival and the Atlanta Film Festival, in which it swept all the awards-Best Feature, Best Actor, Best Actress (Meagan Good) and Best Director. This year, Good will also star in and produce her second feature, Sundays in Fort Greene, in New York.

Good is most recognized for her acclaimed performance (opposite Samuel L. Jackson) in the eerie family drama Eve's Bayou, for which she received nominations for an NAACP Image Award and a Hollywood Reporter's YoungStar Award.
Born in Panorama City, California, Good began starring in commercials at age four and, to date, has completed more than 60 national television commercials. She made her prime-time television debut starring as Sarah's best friend Katie on The WB's Friday-night show Raising Dad. Good's first major television role was as a series regular on the TV hit Cousin Skeeter. She also guest starred on various shows including Moesha, Touched by an Angel, The Steve Harvey Show, The Famous Jett Jackson, The Division and The Parent 'Hood.
Good currently lives in California and enjoys getting involved in charity events. She longs to produce and direct her own films some day, maybe quite soon. |
