You know its a shame that human nature has deteriorated so badly. I'm ole skool (As I've said plenty of times before) I enjoy giving a woman a compliment but its getting harder and harder to do so. Two things happen to me in the last week that makes me wonder about some women. First, I held the door open to the break room for a YOUNG lady and I said "here let me get that for you young lady, see chivalry is not dead" this woman proceeded to lecture me on sexism and said that I was sexist and that is the problem with men my age, we think women can't fend for themselves. Seriously???? Second, I saw a women here on BP that I thought was quite attractive (I still do despite her strange response) I proceeded to tell the woman that she took beautiful photos and if I had know she existed I would have been hell bent on getting to know her. I don't know what I said to offend her but she cursed me out. All I can do is shake my head and move on because bitter begets bitter and I refuse to believe that all women are just that angry.

I need a good friend to talk to.

The funnest thing I've experience in a while.

I went to the bank and a VERY young sista was behind the counter assisting me and it turns out that I have some type of credit score add-on where it allows them to see what products I'm eligible for. She was depositing a somewhat large amount for me and this is what happened:
Her- Can I call you Bobby
Me- Sure its not like you haven't helped me for the past 4 years
Her- First off thank you for being a loyal customer for 23yrs
Me- Well thank you but honestly I can't stand your bank
Her- I feel you
Me- Are we done?
Her- Well Bobby I have to ask if you have ever considered opening an investment account because to open it is free since you have a platinum card with us.
Me- No thank you I like to see my money grow not go.
Her- Well damn Bobby aren't you the trifecta.
Me- What does that mean?
Her- "You is fine as hell, you got hella good credit, you drive a fly ass car and you have freckles.
Me- (given side eye) you forgot a few things 1. I'm old enough to be your dad 2. Trifecta generally means 3 points of reference and you made 4. Most importantly 3. I have a degree a good job and know better than to mess with at hot mess! So miss "hella no credit" you have yourself a good day.

OMG what are some parents teaching the kids these days. Absolutely no respect for their elders.

I have to admit I must be stupid or just plain old. I don't understand women today. You ask for a good meaningful conversation and 30 minutes into it we go straight to sex? I thought that is what you DIDN'T want. I suppose I'm just a dinosaur who considers good conversation to be about similar or even opposing views on meaningful topics. I THOUGHT good conversation entailed respect (I know I said a bad word). I'm sorry but I was so ashamed to be associated with a woman who is in her 50's and could not even hold up her end of an intelligent conversation. Ladies, I'm sure not all of you are like this but I have yet to go out and have a good old fashion lunch or dinner when a true gentleman like myself is appreciated and respected. When I offer you my friendship, don't get it twisted I am NOT OFFERING YOU BEDTIME WITH BOBBY!

You know there is one concept that escapes me. This planet is so big and there are so many people on it but yet the vast majority are always looking for someone. I bet you can think of at least 8 people you passed this morning and didn't speak to can't you? You do realize of course that one of those people was the exact person you have been asking God to send you right? There is an answer to the question on every single person's mind. The question is always the same "Lord, why am I alone" he said very clearly (and you know you heard him say) "My child, for the answer you have only to look within". My two cents for the day. Bobby

I have to say I have read some seriously angry post from both men and women. The magic of the internet never fails to amaze me. People, whether we want to admit it or not partly if not solely the whole point of us all trolling the internet is to find someone we can connect with on and social, emotional, and yes dare I say it, physical level. Before you post your own personal nonsense or react to someone else's, ask yourself this question. What type of person will react to me and what is the likelihood that this person will be the person I am looking for? So before you let your fingers do the talking choose your words

You know its very sad to say but the art of simple conversation is lost. It amazes me to see people so guarded that they refuse to talk without having to convince either themselves or you of their strength. If you have to mention how strong you are in every 3rd comment, you may want to self reflect because not everyone is out to hurt you. To jump into defensive mode right away is a red flag and perhaps that's something you should take a moment to ask yourself "why did I just snap?" People we are all individual's and we are bound to have different views but we shouldn't get attitudes because someone is being honest and makes an observation without any malicious intent. It truly saddens me.

I find it very disheartening that decent conversation amongst adults in their 40s and 50s is worse than talking to someone half my age. You know ladies not all men want to jump into bed. Some of us can actually form a complete sentence.
