Another Black Man Died Today

Posted

Another Black Man Died Today! He died from never being able to free his mind from the bondage of mental slavery! He died from not being able to take responsibility for his own actions. He died from having to strong a back, to weak a mind. He died not knowing he was living in the future of another man's past. A Black Man Died Today! He died without receiving love. He died not showing love. He died not giving love. He died not knowing love. A Black Man Died Today! He died on the cold streets.... (continue reading)

What If!

Posted

What if
A man came to your door and knocked?
Would you allow him to enter?
What if
This man came to your door bearing only one gift?
Would you allow entry then?
What if
You were convinced the box containing this gift was empty?
Could he enter?
What if
He told you it contained all he possesses?
What then?
What if
He came clear across town, in the pouring rain?
What now?
What if
He told you the box you say is empty contain his heart?
Would that matter?
What if
This man offered... (continue reading)

Scientist say no data was receive.
America shook yesterday.
It happened right before your eyes.

Lady of Destiny

Your silhouette is indelibly etched into the back of my mind!

Like the tapestry of my quit.

You may not have known, but this is how I felt.

Why is it that I care for you so?

Are you the one for me?

Are you merely the one that points the way?

Or are you really the one that is in my way?

The moth to the flame is that my attraction to you?

Are you alamode to my pie or the orange juice in my coffee?

You enter my dreams every night.

Your silhouette is indelibly etched into the back of my mind.

Are you the love of my life?

Why are you not the lover in my life?

Why do you keep my stomach tied in knots?

You are the tapestry.

My life is your quilt!

You appear just before REM.

Just in time to send me into my deepest slumber.

You make my heart ache when you are near.

I am always at a lost for words, is this why you are my great fear.

One day I will tell you just how I feel.

But today is neither the time nor the place.

I would rather do this man to woman.

You know face to face!

Your silhouette is indelibly etched into the back of my mind!

Like the tapestry of my quit.

Boyz 2 Men

A man once said!

One man’s heartache is another man’s gain.

I have done things to you that should cause great shame.

But your feelings for me remain the same.

Why would you allow this, how can you stand the pain.

I know now it’s not you, but I still need to complain.

I’m killing you slowly, mentally torturing your brain.

Not one time did you grab the reins, not one attempted to restrain.

Where is your backbone?

Have you no spine!

Not one once have you attempted to take control.

Instead you sit there, like your in a dam fish bowl!

If I stand here and say what I did was right.

It still wouldn’t lead to a fight, yet it still wouldn’t be right.

Where is your spleen?

Still pretending your squeaky clean!

I was told! Never fold!

Stand up and fight!

Especially for your rights!

Especially when your right!

This is what you said!

Instead you act like your a bird.

You got up and took flight!

I mean, got clear out of sight!

Dad, where was your stand?

You wouldn’t fight!

Now how can I become that man?

If your struggling to be that man.

You know most of the things I’ve done wasn’t planned.

I’ve done whatever with whoever just having fun.

And just now, today!

I’m being shunned.

After all this time I thought you knew.

I find out now you don’t have a clue.

What does it take to raise a Man?

You had to know, I needed you too!

Mom always said I was just like you!

NOW!

Time has sit me down.

Where have you gone?

You couldn’t teach what you didn’t know!

Soo there is no need to blame!

We are the same.

I’m still your son.

I have grown.

Now I’m grown I’m done with all my moaning, complaining, and groaning DAD!

I still need you Especially now!

Especially now, that I’m on my own!

Dad Where have you gone?

Growing Pains!

Sand flows through an hour glass effortlessly.
As does a cool breeze through an open window.
This is how I stand before you.

I am all that you see!
All that you seek!
All that you need a man to be.
All that I need, or dare I should ask.
.... is that you open your heart to me.

The each in us, and the both of us, have a past this I will concede!
This piece is not about you.
It is me and my trusty little deeds.

I am that gentle breeze the cradles your hair.
I am the fog that fills your night air.
I am a man that has known the passion of a womans warm a heart.
Embellished in her warmth and touched the tenderness of her thoughts.
Followed her whispers in the dark.
If only for a minute, a stitch in time.
I was the center, the eye of her storm.
Each day an adventure, but here I can not stay!

I have walked beaches of her mind
I have seen the passion in her eyes!
Herd her tear drops fall in the dark!
It is not about a race, nor is it a chase.
A conquest is not what I seek!
This is how I felt, but was unable to speak.

It is about hearts, minds and souls and how they transcend time and space.
I was lost in my darkness, I could not see!
It is my fault, you left me!
The hole I have dug, it is not for you, nor for me!
I have planted a boy and growing a man!

These words I speak do not come likely!
I am speaking very openly and quite frankly!
With each word I write, each poem I create, each thought I share.
I become just a little more
Manly!

But you would except that from me!

Just between us!

I could write you a sweet sultry poem.

How could I express my true feelings to you?

And, would you take them seriously.

I have professed to you my simpleness.

Constantly and continuously this you resist.

Perhaps I am not the package you seek!

The package of your heart's desire!

When your smile is the brightest, and you laughter is the loudest!

What man comes to mind?

Is it really the package that stokes your fire?

When you seek understanding, who is it that feels for you?

How could I express my true feelings to you?

Would you take them seriously too?

Can your package see the tremble in you voice?

Can he feel the pain in your eyes?

Can he brighten your day with a few words?

Can he brighten your tomorrow today?

Can he remove the hurt from yesterday?

Can he understand how you feel, when you don't have the words to say?

How could I express my true feelings to you?

Would you take them seriously?

This package you speak, does he have an understanding of your Greatness?

Does he appreciate your blessings?

Is he thankful of your gift, the gift that soars in you?

This package you seek!

This package you've claimed!

Does he truly have a clue. let alone a key?

How is a man's greatnest measured?

How do you measure your man's greatnest?

How could I express my true feelings to you?

Would you take them seriously?
