Can you believe it Black Planet? I finally made that move...now a resident of Marietta, GA! I'm sitting in my beautiful new apartment, listening to my baby in the room, allegedly sleeping, and thinking...is this real? I finally broke free of my home town, to experience something new. Being a single woman in 2007 is a very tricky subject. You get used to being a part of something...one of two names. Then suddenly, it's just you. Your once crowded bed is now big and empty...and all yours. It feels so strange at first, being alone. Having no one to cook for, no one to talk to. No companionship, quiet house. Recently someone posed the question to me, "Can men and women just be friends?" Is it possible to share a mutual respect for someone of the opposite sex, without ever bluring the lines of what a traditional friendship is supposed to be?
