As far as my pictures below. . .PEOPLE, you gotta know your history to understand your future. . .The importance of the Smith winning the gold and Carlos winning the bronze is historic within itself. . .But to add to the importance of that Olympic event, these men supported the resistance on one of the biggest stages in the world. So, dont go jockin` Kanye because he said, "Bush don`t like black people." You ask why? Because Kanye didn`t do it in a time where you were socially and economically outcasted for your actions or simply by your words. That "boy" wouldn`t have the platform that he did to speak his mind if it weren`t for individuals like Smith and Carlos. To end, those gentlemen paid DEARLY for their stands on that olympic front. They just weren`t ushered out of the stadium but Smith was kicked out of the army and Carlos` wife committed suicide.
