Love and Reality

Posted

Love is not breathlessness, it is not excitement, it is not the promulgation of promises of eternal passion. How can it be when we love our parents, coaches, relatives, friends, pets, cars, clothes, etc. Do we expect a burning desire of intimacy from all of these people or things, NO! As much as we would like to think love is this perfect entity, NAH! It is just as flawed as the person or people who it is given to or received from. It is... (continue reading)

My Existence

Posted

"I could not exist" is a thought that sometimes buckles my knees and takes my breath away. I don't mean when i was inches away from stray bullets, or living in the city that had the highest death rate in America two years in a row, or riding around with big time drug-dealing relatives or any of the many life threatening events that have taken place over my 23 years on this earth. I mean my Soul's journey could have been cut short way before reaching any of the previously... (continue reading)

Grown Man/Woman

Posted

Contemplation is the essence of creativity and change. After watching black in america I was sitting down thinking about the plot of the relationship between the black man and the black woman. Slavery is abolished but much of the mindset that permeated during its existence still remains. I was strolling through a social network site and saw a females page about I have this and I have that I'm on my grown woman. I began pondering on that phrase because I myself have used... personal message

There are three types of people:
1. People who make things happen
2. People who watch things happen
3. People who don't know what the hell happened....
I spent a lot of my life complaining about starting on the bottom of societies totem pole until I met my reality check. I realized its people out here with worst problems then mine and their laughing. Here I am thinking my life is so unfair because I was born into a situation were statistics support me being nothing more than a animal with bills and some people already got there appointment to see Jesus. I've decided to position myself in the first category. Now I have realistic understanding on success and happiness. You have to be able to effectively comprehend three things:
1. How your higher being views you
2. How you view yourself
3. How others view you....
You get those things and you're on the right track! See once I understood those three things I felt like I had the ability to accept any oppositions challenge. Because, Truth Be Told "I'm my own competition".
I'm successful by my own admission so only I can make myself feel like a failure. This is why I become not only a better man but also a better person everyday!

Open to meeting anybody that is positive and can bring something to enrich my world. I try to keep the type of people around me that I can learn from. Trustworthy Competition is the way I view my friends and hopefully that is reciprocated. As far as well known people I long to meet I would have to say Confucius, Amenhotep, Marcus Garvey, Huey P. Newton, Bill Gates and obviously YOU.
This is Real Talk!
