I miss...

my children! I never knew that I could miss them as much as I do right now. My babies have been in NC with my mother for the bulk of the summer, which was a well deserved break for my husband and I but Lord knows that I didn't realize how much I would miss their little faces.

I miss their voices and foot steps running down the hall

I miss their greetings when I walk in the door

How much is to much?

Hey Y'all:

As a mom I ask myself this question all the time. How many skittles or M&M's do they really need? How long should I allow them to watch television? How old should they be before I buy them a cell phone? How much is too much, how soon is too soon? When is it enough? I wonder how many parents truly question how much or when is it enough?

I'm a BlackPlanet.com employee so from time to time I'll post custom pages that we have up for advertisers or internal marketing to get your take on the new things we have on BP. I have been working here in the Sales Marketing department for the past year and have learned so much about this community! You guys are very dedicated to BP and that's powerful for such a niche site. BlackPlanet has been around for 10 years (that's longer then Myspace AND Facebook!) and has been given a bad wrap most times.  We are seen as a hookup site only, but from what I've seen there is so much more to us. We are a site for Black folks to connect with like minded individuals; and if we happen to get a date along the way it's a plus!

 As a Sales Marketing Manager I work on sales for advertisers who are looking to reach this audience though custom opportunities. I've worked on deals with Disney, Tide, countless movie studios, automotive companies, beauty and health advertisers.
