Sex: male Location: Hyattsville, Md Ethnicity: African American Life in Prison for Shooter in Super Bowl Triple Murder Last Edited: Friday, 12 Sep 2008, 4:43 PM EDT Created: Friday, 12 Sep 2008, 4:42 PM EDT A young man will likely spend the rest of his life in prison for killing three people after sports trash talk went too far. 22-year-old Tron Johnson plead guilty and was sentenced Friday to life in prison with all but 100 years suspended for the murders of Curtis L. Poston, Terrance L. Sneed, and Charles D. Harrison. The courtroom was packed with the victims' friends and family members for the announcing of the verdict. Johnson apologized to the court, saying he didn't want to hurt anybody. Back on February 3, Johnson and the victims got into a discussion while watching the Super Bowl at the Pizzario Uno in Largo. The argument reportedly got very heated and personal. The incident was caught on a surveillance camera from a restaurant across the street. Video shows Johnson leaving the restaurant and returning 20 minutes later. A crowd of people are then seen fleeing. Harrison is seen dropping to the ground after being shot. Prince George's County State's Attorney Glenn Ivey says it doesn't matter that Johnson may have been provoked. "Do you get to shoot someone cause he's talking trash to you? The answer is 'no.' And that is certainly true for the second guy, who wasn't talking at all. And then the third guy that he followed out to the parking lot and shot in the back of the head -- completely unjustifiable, even under the code of the street." Sneed, of Hyattsville, was pronounced dead at the scene. Poston, of Temple Hills, and Harrison, of Landover, were transported to local hospitals where they died a short time later. If Johnson ever receives parole, he will be 72-years-old.
