Welcome to the page of Ms.Merising. You're probably thinking "Dag, no photo: ma must be busted". To that I say - lol. Jokes and pretentious personas aside, I'm going to present a list of things I have learnt and observed on my short 29 years on this planet. Read on if you wish..
1. The world is a really beautiful place. People may make things ugly, but this planet is stunning. Before you write me off as some earthy, hippy chick, observe something beautiful that man has not created: whether you live in a penthouse or the projects, that moon, the trees and the soul of a good person are the simple pleasures of life that don't cost money to enjoy and can even bring some enlightenment in your life. Nuff said.
2. The better you know yourself, the less likely you get caught up in false thinking. When I say false thinking, I mean generalizations about life and people. Ignorance is choice. Ignorance is people choosing against their innate soul truth to live their life defined by the false ideas around them. I call it not living authentically. The ideas can be racist, sexist, classist or just plain stupid. Ignorance flows from the lowest economic ladder to the Park Avenue. Ignorance is living your life defined by someone else's ideas which are rooted in their own self-hatred that now infects you. Not the gospel, just an observation.
3. It's better to spend a little more and get something better quality than be cheap and have it broke in a week. I always look for the best deal, but some things you just can't compromise on.
4. Mama was right: child birth is bearable. It's a mutha, but you can do it. You just gotta not let the fear make you shut down. Also, similac is wack. If you choose to have children, respect them by not pumping that poison in their bodies. Kids these days be messed-up, ADD'd and amble like penguins. It's crazy.
5. Mama was right part 2: a liar always tells the truth by mistake. If you are self-aware and listen to everything someone says and does, who they are is staring you right in the face. A dishonorable person shows you their future actions by their present ways and their past. Women and men get caught up in the fantasies and potential of someone instead of becoming better within themselves (not as romantic, you know). Men do not need a mother. If they are worth your time, they seek a woman who knows herself, who will not mother him but will nurture and grow WITH him. Now that's beautiful..
6. The sexiest men are sincere men. A men who is not trying to convince you of his goodness, he just is honest. Because he is honest he is communicative, brilliant, witty and comfortable with his body which means amazing love making. Amin! I find it funny how many women covet rich or celebrity men. He may have a bank account worth millions, but a man who cheats on his woman and embarrasses her is a man who not only doesn't truly love his wife, he has no love for himself. But of course, who wants to imagine that Shaq or some actor has no self-respect, right? Money does not maketh a self-aware man..
8. Good folk are good folk, period. Having lived in 4 countries thus far, I have met some amazing people, and though we have lost touch, their jokes and brilliance make me smile and LMAO to this day. If you're feeling the page, feel free to reach out & share some thoughts, opinions or rare music :)
glitter-graphics.com ****************************** ****************************** ****************************** ****************************** Ideas aside, I come on BP to indulge in my two passions. The first is my obsession with people and how they view themselves and others. The second - I am a huge music fan.I was obsessed with vinyl for many years, and though I may not dig like I did I am still heavily into my music. There are waaaaay too many obscure 45"s and rare groove tracks to mention. If you are into your Rare Groove, come and join my group "Dusty Fingers".
