Fall is here and showing itself in the color of the leaves. Things
in my world are better than okay..they are great. I am finally at a
point where I am living life and not letting life live me... I love
the people who allow me to share in their lives and those who I
allow to share in mine. I have finally taken the power back from
those who I allowed to influence how my day, week, month, shoot my
existence, went. Like I told you before, since April my footing has
been a little shakey and alot of areas in my life have suffered
because of it, so after alot (I mean alot) of prayer and heart to
heart talks with myself...I have found a true balance. I continue
to maintain my connection with God, (once again shouts out to the
SDAs of the world), my maintained connection with my family and
friends, my renewed focus on my goal for 2009.(CheckMate.Ink) and
my want to be healthier that I have ever been. I am also focused on
my finances (and have been doing really well with that) which I
have neglected for so long, but now that I am in my 30s I need to
focus on it.. so if you have any budgeting tips leave me a message
(smile) So as the sun rises in the morning and sets at night... my
goal is to make the most of everyday that is given to me and work
on fulfilling the goals and I have set for myself and the purpose
God has created me for... Recently I made the comment that I was
still searching for happiness and then I realized that I had
already found it..it was right under my nose... So after I got over
myself and moved out of my own way... there it was....and I plan to
enjoy every minute of it. So I type before you as an independent,
self-assured, strong, determined, intelligent, and creative,
powerful black woman. Shouts out to the other Sistas out there
making their mark... continue to enlighten!!!!

A New Focus

Recently I turned 31 and realized I have no real friends to hangout with. I still talk to my friends from high school but too much time has elapsed to start to hangout wih them again. So I have decided to get more involved in Church, join some new "clubs", go back to school, and get me a life so to speak. Just feels really good to have some kind of "Focus".
