Worldly wisdom can come about
In very strange places
It has no spiritual ties
In tune with carnal desires
Close to Satanic nature
It can be here today
And gone away tomorrow
True wisdom is good everyday
It is sure to be stable
So morally sound
You will not be mislead
Far from being froward
Never taught in a classroom
Best of all
It is of God's greatness.

Broken Pieces
Broken pieces scattered around
Standing hopeless with a frown
As dust settles you sit and wonder
Yearning to rise up and not go under
The essence of false love
Like a broken wing on a dove
Lots of lies and childish play
You deserve better anyway
Take time to clear the mind
No longer upset everything is fine
Soon after the remnants are discarded
A new love can be started.

Thanksgiving Time
When all the leaves are off the boughs,
And nuts and apples gathered in,
And cornstalks waiting for the cows,
And pumpkins safe in barn and bin,
Then Mother says, "My children dear,
The fields are brown, and autumn flies;
Thanksgiving Day is very near,
And we must make thanksgiving pies!"
