personal message

Hey BP,

NOTE: Check out my blog to read my thoughts, it's interesting!

I'm on here looking for new friends! I haven't been on here in ages and I'm still figuring out why this looks like Myspace. Anywho, I'm from Kentucky...currently making strides to become the next big thing in Journalism. I love to express myself by writing. When you feel you don't have a voice, the mighty pen speaks even bigger. I enjoy writing short stories, poems, etc. in my spare time. I also interview music artists currently in the music industry.

NstntVntage on Love:
It has its moments. It can be good, it can be bad...but when you're experiencing it, nothing matters!

NstntVntage on Relationships:
If you can't love 'em, leave 'em the hell alone. Sometimes it's like a bus; if it ain't working right, ride it to the end of the line and get your transfer!

NstntVntage on Family:
I loves my family...god knows I do. But I'd kill 'em dead if they ever screwed over me! LOL...i'm kidding...I've been watching too much Color Purple. Families fuss and fight, family is there when %#&@$! ain't right, always stay together and keep family tight!

NstntVntage on Music:
I love all kinds of music...even country! Although R&B and Hip-Hop is in a crisis right now, I still manage to find gems within. I enjoy listening to blues artists sing because their gritty sounds often touch the soul! Billie Holiday, Ella Fitzgerald, and Dinah Washington are some of my favorites.

If you wanna talk, just send a message! I love good conversations about anything (politics, entertainment, etc.).

Another Relationship

take a minute, realize what you do before you decide to leave "furnished home" to an "empty apartment".

Hello BP.

I haven't posted anything lately. I've been online browsing different profiles and to say the least.....interesting. I have a lot of mail to answer and if I haven't returned love, I will soon. Working on a series of poems based on my Battered Women Blues poem...people love it. Time to give 'em more!

This is a must read for those who do feel their choices don't have consequences. This has a little raunch to it but....I have to keep it real about what people go through. It's life. Written on June 20, 2009

Whoa!
Would ya looka there?
This gal done lost her mind
She don't really care
What others think
She strolls down the block with her oochie coochie vibe
Fellas mouths are opened wide
Cause her overt sexiness is all the way live
Do they realize this is a cover for the pain inside?
She lives in confusion while holding her head high
Her mind holds the lies in while her soul fights to cry
Why?
Ho is the only thing she knows
Mama left her at two years old
Ain't nobody 'round to teach her
Her mind so young
She don't know how to let it grow
When she was eigh'teen
Her eyes was mighty green
She let others lead her out the pasture
Knowin' er'thang wasn't what it seemed
Money
Fast Cars
Was all she dreamed
July knew with an a.s.s like that
The oldest muthaf.u.c.k.a would cream
If ho was what she could BE CUM
She knew what to do to get the job done
The first time she tricked that ass
It was an adrenaline rush
It felt so good and it wouldn't be her last
Lickin
Suckin'
F.u.c.k.in'
She did everythang from doctors
To those who be truckin'
This ho habit became so addictive
Every man she saw
July began lustin'
The one true friend she had told her it wasn't right
"Girl you shouldn't play games or gamble with your life
What's done in the dark definitely comes to light
I don't want to see you get hurt or arrested
Break this bad habit and get tested"
July paid her no mind
She was living the good life
To her it was just fine
Til one summer day
She felt unexpected signs
Took a lengthy turn in the doctor's line
She whined
Complained
Talked about how she didn't feel the same
Doc remembered seeing these symptoms before
Saw patients run in and his door
He had to give her an exam
To find out a little more
July was Jammin' to her own mystery
From the looks of things
Doc knew she had a sexual history
Of being a loose booty
He wasn't going to treat her like a case of charity
Cause he was about to blow her mind you see
Convinced her to take the test that would determine her reality
She thought this test would be something where she could wait patiently
Twitchin and movin like them crackheads be
Two weeks later
July came back POSITIVELY . stunned
She didn't realize her moments of fun
Gave her something that couldn't be undone
Rather hearing words of told you so or being shunned
July took her life
One bullet between the eyes
With a stolen gun
Sex is good
Sex is great
If you don't tell him to wrap it up
AIDS will change your fate
When you encounter someone who doesn't give a damn
Remember the story about a hot girl named July Jam

Battered Woman Blues

Posted

"Battered Woman Blues" As "Loving You" by Minnie Ripperton flows through my mind,
I sit here drunk off of this "you" flavored wine
That bottle is f/u/c/k/in' empty but why am I so full of you?
Could I be in denial?
Or am I just another unknown singing the battered woman blues

Remember the days of high top fades and we sat in the shade sippin on lemonade?
We had that throwback love
The kind where everybody threw shade and their eyes were jade
of envy
I was hooked on you and that's where your love sent me

I sensed over time
You were no longer mine
And you disappeared at the drop of a dime
I had those "what ifs" and "maybes"
But you said I was crazy
Our words got intense
Never suspected you'd haze me

Like Keith Sweat I thought we would make it last
Time after time neighbors hear shouting and shattered glass
Too embarrassed to face them
Hiding the fact you've beat my ass
There are so many things I don't understand
You say you love me
But my eyes expose the ugly truth at the wrath of your hands

I sit here as a champion against abuse
Motivating others to walk away
Yet I sit here in denial
Doing what I can
Just to make you stay

I run back to you because my heart wears your name
People don't understand
Yet they call me insane
I masquerade the fact you can do no wrong
I gotta wake up
I can't continue this song

From this point on I can no longer accept your brutal pain
I've got to stand my ground
Fighting back
Reclaiming the strong woman's fame
I should feel ashamed for what you did to me
It's over now
But I love myself
And that's all I need

To those out there with similar blues
Don't let the color be your mood
Walk away
Get help
Inspire others to follow you.

For Dr. King and Obama...Untitled

Posted

It all started with a dream,
A dream to be accepted,
A dream to be respected,
A dream never to be discouraged
But motivating those to walk proud with courage
Dr. King fought for every man to be treated the same
Given equal rights
Not encounter slander or disdain
Although your clouds cause rain and inflicted pain
Our sunlight still broke through
Standing strong
We still remained
Our ancestors marched
Never grew tired
Didn't give up hope
Still managed to inspire
Didn't matter if they were caught in the crossfire
Or being blocked by fields of barbwire
Travelin' miles and miles and miles and miles
Just to see the future get higher

Ain't nothin' flyer than a man determined to do his thing
Building people up
Leading this nation to change
It ain't that kind where the Republicans left us with a few cents
But sense bringing me and you together
Where ain't nobody better
And all that old stuff is past tense

I know Brother Martin couldn't be here this day
He's looking down from above
Showing so much love
And sending his praise!
