I am Nu Omega Psi Sorority.....I was created by women like you. Women who don't judge by how pretty you are or how many children you have. I was created by women who dont judge you because you didnt marry a doctor or lawyer. I was created by women who actually care about Other Women of color and our children. I was created by women who feed the hungry and educated the community. I was created by a "COMPLETE WOMAN PERSONIFIED"..... Potential Sorority Applicant Greetings from Nu Omega Psi Sorority Incorporated! We would like to invite you to visit our website and attend our interest meeting. A statement of Purpose Nu Omega Psi Sorority commits itself to unity in sisterhood and to the betterment of the community. We pride ourselves on education and educating the community on womens health, social issues and issues concearning our youth. We dedicate ourselves to personal enrichment through the awareness and preservation of our traditions and morals. Two friends who wanted to be part of the sorority/Greek life founded Nu Omega Psi on the campus of Robeson Community College, but the traditional sororities and what they had experienced with them was not appealing. They examined many of the traditional(African American) sororities (Divine 9) and researched them with no avail. Then finally on September 9th 2007, they decided to embark on a journey that would not only test their faith but the true meaning of friendship. They would meet many obstacles and much criticism before what will forever be known as Nu Omega Psi was born. The Foundation of Our Sisterhood Nu Omega Psi Sorotity has taken on the role of friend, mother, sister. We are traditional sorority but with a nontraditional agenda. We keep abreast of the social issues that effect our community, the health issues that effect our women, and the issues that effect the future of our children.
