STARTING ANEW Home will never be the same
In a place where things change
Unfamiliar dont belong in this part of town
Hopeless Katrina knock me down
I never felt this way before
New territory closed doors
at least then I knew my path
didn't think I would face a storm's wrath
that would cause me to rebuild elsewhere
label me an evacuee
It would've never happened if it was up to me
But if the storm would've never happened
I would still be in tha N O
familiarity, but the same closed doors
Don't like where I am but at least I have a place to label as here
Some things never change, fools fighting over beer
thought the katrina would have cleared
things up and help us to realize
Life is most important eventhough we barely gettin by
So when you see me and hear me claim New Orleans Louisiana
don't look sad or feel sorry for me
I'm still gonna be what GOD wants me to be
