***Before we get started, for anyone who wants to discredit me by coming with that "nobody's perfect" crap, you must understand the screen name before you talk trash then try to hide behind your Bible. It is spelled Perfec1 & not Perfect1--which means if God is Perfection & you are close to God, then you are close to perfection. I'm too old to go back & forth about what "I" put on "my" page. Now without further ado...

Stop, Look, and Learn...
***47 Things Black Folk Need To Stop Doing(AKA The Demandments)***
1.Putting $10,000 rims on $500 cars - What sense does it make have a down payment on a house rolling on a 72 Caddy?
2.Women:cover up and don`t look like certain garden tools - If you`re the one with the cherry thong and no bra @ the club, will that attract the type of man you want?
3.Lying-Be straight up about age, status, sexual orientation - What`s the deal about age? Why should we wait until your obituary to find out how old you really are? If you`re married or dating, why tell someone you`re single?
4.Buying $50,000 cars and living on welfare, Sect. 8 or just plain broke - Why buy a Lexus and still stay home with your momma?
5.Trying to impress or be somebody else - Who cares how much your clothes, shoes, or pocketbook cost? Leave all that stuff for the videos.
6.Misspelling words and being proud of being a dummy - You learned how to spell in elementary school. Use your education.
7.Continuing stereotypes - All Black people don`t eat watermelon, fried chicken, hot sauce, and chitlins. We all don`t(and can`t) dance, and we all don`t have gold teeth.
8.Just letting schools teach your kids - Check your kid`s homework. That way they shouldn`t be getting C`s, D`s, or F`s.
9.Being unaware what your children are up to - Know who their friends are, what they`re into, where they`re going, etc...unless you want to be a Grandma or Grandpa at 35.
10.Using excuses for anything - If you do something, mean it. If you fail a test, the questions weren`t hard, you just didn`t know the answers.
11.Using drugs and getting drunk -Illegal drugs are bad - `Nuff said. Alcohol is not bad, only if you have too much.
12.Committing crimes - What`s so hard about being honest? If it`s illegal, it ain`t worth doing.
13.Turning a blind eye to other`s problems - The same people you step on to get to the top, you`ll see on your way back down. Chances are they won't be happy to see you, either.
14.Being afraid to ask for help - People too often think that people will look down on you if you need help. If you know where to get help, but don`t, that`s pretty stupid.
15.Wanting to be a thug - Stealing a few sodas from the corner store doesn`t make you a thug. Thugs were the dumb henchmen of gangsters. Is that what you wanna be?
16.Dropping out of high school - All you have to do is go to school, and that`s free.
17.Trying to be "grown" - Kids, enjoy being young while you can. They put age limits on things for a reason.
18.Paying your bills late - Another stereotype. Try to keep your credit in good standing.
19.Having a negative attitude - If you think you`re gonna fail, then you will.
20.Letting TV and video games baby-sit your kids - Don`t leave your kids unattended while you go party.
21.Being Lazy - Get up, get out, and do something great with your life. Be somebody.
22.Bragging - This breeds jealousy. Haven`t you learned from all the BET movies they show?
23.Looking for Mr./Ms. Right -When you`re not looking for them is when they come.
24.Refusing to go to the Doctor/Dentist - Take care of yourself, or someone will have to...
25.Making up strange names for your kids - How do you think they`re gonna learn how to spell their name when you keep sticking silent Q`s and all kinds of punctuation - commas, semicolons, colons, asterisks...you`re a "colon" if you do this!
26."Blocking your blessings" - "Never look a gift horse in the mouth" - Too many of us pass up a good thing because it doesn`t look like what we think it should.
27.Blocking someone else`s dreams -If someone`s trying to do something good in their life, move out of the way!
28.Telling instead of showing - See lying. Don`t talk me to death - if you say it, do it!
29.Forgetting each other`s names - It`s not hard to remember someone`s name, try it, you might like it!
30.Settlingfor less - Strive for excellence. If you want a Cadillac Escalade EXT, don`t buy the Chevy Avalanche...
31.Being Illiterate-Learn how to read - and comprehend - Some of the best things in life are free - Learn to use your library card...a lot.
32.Being afraid to invest wisely - Putting $50 in "Pookie`s Chicken Shack, Hair Salon, Check Cashing Joint and Auto Parts to be a part- owner might not be a good investment.
33.Praying for what you want instead of thanking God for what you have - If you don`t understand this one, see your Pastor...
34.Thinking you are powerless - Have confidence in yourself - If you don`t think you can do something, you`re defeated before you start.
35.Being so serious - Learn to laugh at each other - Why try to beat someone up because you trip on your own feet? You messed up - it was funny - let it go...
36.Telling someone what to do instead of asking - People will tend to do more things for you if you ask them instead of telling them.
37.Repeating history - not learning from mistakes - If somebody borrows $500 from you and doesn`t pay you back, would you do it again?
38.Being "leeches" - Stop mooching off of people, get your own thing.
39.Suppressing your talents - If you`re good at something, use it. God gave you a gift for a reason. 40.Disliking one another - To finally answer Rodney King, we all can get along...we just don`t want to. It`s a shame how people will dislike a person they know nothing about...
41.Gossiping - If you aren`t man(or woman) enough to say it to that person`s face, then don`t say it.
42.Raising brats - Teach your kids to respect their elders and other people`s belongings.
43.Choosing your heroes because they`re famous - There is always someone that you have admired or has driven you to be whatever you are. Learn as much about them as you can. Don`t just like Oprah becuse she`s rich or Jay-Z because he`s popular, find out what makes them tick, their setbacks, their achievements, etc...but don`t stalk them.
44. Getting angry over things because someone else thinks you should be - People always want you to get mad about things that don`t affect you. Mexico made some new stamps--so what? Everything that looks like a Black person-isn`t. Do you think Afrikaans are upset? They`re more concerned with getting food & stopping AIDS.
45. Ignoring your neighborhood`s issues - Don`t forget about your local issues. Some things that are going on in your `hood are just as damaging as some worldwide issues. If you can`t clean your own backyard, don`t take on the world.
46. Stop believing a rose can`t grow in the ghetto(or trailer park...or wherever). There are too many examples of successful people that grew up under less than ideal learning conditions and have made it. It's not where you start; it's where you end up...
47. Be somebody's main dish, not someone's side order - Why date someone that's already in a relationship? You should strive to be able to be proud of your relationships, not hide them in the dark...

Joke of the Month
A dietician was once addressing a large audience in Chicago.
"The material we put into our stomachs is enough to have killed most of us sitting here, years ago. Red meat is awful. Vegetables can be disastrous, and none of us realizes the germs in our drinking water. But there is one thing that is the most dangerous of all and we all of us eat it. Can anyone here tell me what lethal product I'm referring to? You, sir, in the first row, please give us your idea."
The man lowered his head and said, "Wedding cake."

I'm so amused @ how when you try to educate some on BP they think they know everything...I'm sure you're all getting spammed comments on your page(secret crushes, macy's cards, etc). I told one individual that their page was hacked & they told me I was lying! The fool said that I wanted "attention". Even after I showed them the posting with their picture on it, they didn't believe it. Bottom Line--Some Blackplaneteers need real therapy...

Can someone please explain this one?

Why do so many pastors find themselves bent on choosing what color Jesus was? Does it really matter what race he was? Why do these hypocrites stand in the pulpit making statements about olive skin and wool hair, then have the congregation shout about it? If Jesus teaches you to love people of all race, what does his color matter? I thought he was born in Bethlehem, not Africa or Europe. Tell me who lives there?

For whom it may concern...6 things to think about...

If you aren't deemed good enough to be a main course, stop being someone's side dish...

P.S. Females(I can't use Ladies, you'll see why),

1) Stop dressing like the video hootchies--no one looks like that in real life...
2) Please stop wearing high heels with everything(shorts, capris, jeans, skirts, underwear, gown, etc). You look more hookerish than sexy...that's not a good thing...
3) Keep the belt around your waist, not right under your breasts...
4) If you have to put on your page that... (continue reading)
