When I was young, I never planned my life out like "by this age I want..."  I simply never thought about life that way.  I'm grateful for this because I think it minimized any potential disappointment that comes with feeling like one is not where they "should" be.  That said, I'm pretty happy with where I've ended up at this moment at this age.  My life has been rich and full of awesome, balanced with a lot of crap- all of it interesting and worthwhile.

So it's 2012. I don't do that resolution thing, tho I try to be supportive of those who do.  Regardless, I'm looking forward to the year.  I've began my journey to perm-free hair, which makes me equally nervous and excited.  I've got some kickass performance projects on the horizon and some other things of interest look promising.  There isn't anything I can ask for, I guess except the ability to sustain and the openness to receive what comes my way.  So yea...there's that.

I'm gonna try *again* to use this forum to promote my activities.  So if you are a theatre-goer or interested in seeing plays/sketch comedy, check back to see what I have going on.  The first quarter of the year will be full of opportunities to see some great productions.  All artists need support, and the black actors in Chicago would be thrilled to see more of our people in the audiences.  That said, even if you are never compelled to see me on stage, consider checking out a play (with or without colored folks) in 2012.  Theatre can be awesome, powerful and fun.  Try it.
