What's BP and Madtown? Welcome to my thoughts. Due to circumstances I'm outta the Mil. Just too much negativity for me. Hopefully Madison will be more positive and embrace a brotha trying to grow as a human and build. Peace out Milwaukee, thank you for the lessons I've learned. QUESTION: Where in Madtown can a mature black man go to hear live jazz, spoken word, def poetry? I don't really go to clubs and Jazz in the Park season is over. If you know please inform me. About the name, its just a nickname I acquired some time ago, I am in no way conceited. I am a black sitcom junkie and its just my homage to the character Bumper Robinson played on "Amen", Clarence The So Fine. In fact I believe that fine, sexy, beautiful, cute, pretty and handsome are all subjective. If Bobby Brown can call himself the Original King of R&B, then I can call myself The So Fine! I am a Vet, gave Uncle Sam's army 12 good years. Traveled all over the world, Europe, Asia almost all 50 states. I have to, I mean I MUST give a shoutout to all the SOLDIERS, SAILORS, MARINES and AIRMEN serving all over the world. Especially the ones that I have had the pleasure to serve with. So if you've worked with me somewhere in the field of Military Intelligence please drop me a line. I've been stationed at Fort Dix, NJ; Fort Devens, Ayer, MA; Leighton Barracks, Wurzburg, Germany; Fort Gordon, Augusta, GA; Fort Huachuca, AZ; Camp Humphries, South Korea; Fort Meade, MD; NSA; Buckley AB, Aurora, CO and of course the Army Reserves Base in Milwaukee. I've recently celebrated 1 year since my kidney transplant, and I am loving life! Thank you to all of the people that have sent me all the sweet and inspiring notes, words of encouragement, and prayers. A brotha truly appreciates that, and can always use more from my brothas and sistas. My people please take care of yourselves and especially your health. Also please be a donor if you can. While I was going thru my stuff, I also lost my girl to breast cancer (rest in peace Titi). Sistas check yourselves regularly, or you can have me check for you (I can't lie, I love breast, I should have been a mammariologist or something). Seriously, black women are more likely than any one else to die from breast cancer. Kelly for putting my thoughts into songs. SHOUT OUT to Alonzo Mourning of the Miami Heat. He has the same kidney disease I have, FSGS (it affects a lot of brothas), and he is a true inspiration. To deal with kidney failure the way he has, get a transplant and then come back and not just play basketball again, but win a NBA Championship, is just awesome!! Now I'm just trying to live life again, going back to school, build, and try to be the best man I can be. SOME THINGS ABOUT ME: What I am: * A Proud black MAN * A Soldier (once you are made into a true soldier, you will always be a true soldier) * Intelligent * A great listener and good counsel. * A truly loyal friend. * Humorous (unless you had your sense of humor surgically removed, I will make you laugh, guaranteed!). What I am not: * Playa, pimp, thug, gangsta, baller, stunna nor any of the other cute little names to call BOYS. * conceited, judgemental or self-righteous * Trendy, materialistic or ballin' (sorry golddiggers) * Unappreciative. I am so grateful for everyone and everything in my life. What I know/believe: * Jesus Christ is my Lord and Saviour. * Karma is a mutha for ya! If you do good and treat people well, good things will happen for you and many will love you. If you do bad things and mistreat people, you will reap what you sow! * Everybody deserves respect.....until they don't. * Women not girls rule my world, I said they rule my world! (Thanks for that line, Prince). * Life can be short, do not take anyone or anything of importance for granted, if you do, you WILL be sorry. * Material things (trendy gear, flashy cars & rims and even the bling) lose value and go out of style, genuine classy, wise and loyal friends never do. * When it comes to music: there aint nothin' like the old school! * Safe Sex, no matter how freaky or wild. * True Love will return to me, be my wife and grow old with me. What I like: * Comedy! Movies, shows, stand-up, sitcoms.....you name it. * Spending time with loved ones. * traveling. * Reading. Especially African American authors (Eric Jerome Dickey, Noire, RM Johnson, Zane, etc...) * Good conversation. Whether its an intelligent adult debate on recent events or shootin' the breeze with my folks. I can debate about White House policies or trip about who got shot on Center Street. * Long walks (for real!) * Sports. playing and watching. * Good music. Dave Chappelle's block party is a represent of my style. * Writing. * Women's Breastesess, weren't you paying attention? Peace to my princesses soon to be queens, my entire fam in Miltown, Madison, GI (Gary) & Chitown, my buzzin' cousins, Madame (my heart and soul), Yogi, Redd, Ms Tiff, and Coco Ti. Rest in peace to Titi, I think of you all the time. I now know what its like to have my life truly touched by an angel. You are forever in my heart, I miss you and will never forget the love you brought into my life. A specially thank you to the family of the young man who's kidney has given me new life. My sincere condolences for your loss. Please know that your son did not die in vain, and I will do all that I can to be the great man that God has destined me to be. More recent pics are on the way.
