"My Truth"

 represents the GREED that creeps up when I'm running from it,

 acts as the backbone which keeps me afloat in my ocean of tears,

lives on a street named "The World Is Not Ready",

my truth..shows itself during times I'm covered in thoughts of feeling DEEPLY flawed,

 rises to the top, just when I thought I buried it deep within my soul,

keeps my lips from having a love affair with the word FREEDOM,

says I know your SECRETS, and they are safe with me,  

forces me on a journey like an UNWILLING passenger...yet I'm packed for the trip,

my truth..tells me everything I need to hear, because of the LIES I've told myself,

accompanies me to places as an UNINVITED guest,

continues to remind me that as long as my heart beats, I can't ESCAPE it,

jumbles up my words to create a story I want to tell to no one,

strips me NAKED every time I attempt to A-ddress her,

is always present without my permission, has no plans to ask for it,

my truth...knows this woman like no other person on earth, and ACCEPTS me as is...
