Adapted the name Freespirit†from many after being recognized as loving, caring, spontaneous, laid back, anxious, spiritual, helpful, cheerful, warm, sensitive crazy, rebellious, respectful, non judgmental, open minded, sharing, independent, diverse, trusting, honest, intelligent, moral, family orientated, controversial, energetic, and of course… creative!

Carlene "Spirit" Roberts, originally from NY now residing in the Hampton Roads area of VA. as the Business Director & Project Coordinator for the Diversity Poet Educators, a community outreach organization. Writer and Editor for an arts and culture magazine called The Prototype. Currently, an on air radio host on the most popular gospel station ,WGPL 1350am. Author of "It's Not Personal... It's Spiritual. She has performed Spoken Word/Poetry in venues & festivals from NY to FL. She has worked in conjunction with some of HBO’s Def Poets, Cuba Gooding Jr., Thelma of "Good Times," Dizzy Gillespies daughter, Jeany Bryson and many more. She also had the opportunity to open for Susan Taylor, Editor in Chief of Essence Magazine. Nominated in 2006 & 2007 for the National Underground Spoken Word Poetry Award for "Community Oriented Underground Poet" category and won the 2007 National Underground Spokenword Poetry Award for the "More Like Family" category. 20 Things To Do Before I Die

A few things I want to accomplish before God takes me. No particular order.

1. I want to fall "IN love" because I feel like one of my greatest tragedies would be never to have felt that feeling.

2. I want to bungee jump or sky dive.

3. I want to visit the Holy Land & the Mother Land.
