So often people measure the level of their success on materialistic items, instead of one's intellect, to have knowledge of their history and culture is total LIBERATION of a supressed mind and therefore SUCCESS is achieved.

What's up Black Planet it's yo girl Ayesha. Know I not trying to bogg you down with a ton of quotes or statistics, but if we (i.e. different ethnic groups) do not take the time to educate oneself, instead of waisting time and hot air complaining about the HAVEs and HAVE NOT's then by the year 2012 every 2 out of 3 Black males will be in the prison system, and the remainding will either be unemployed or gay. So to my sista's let us encourage our black brotha's to do something positive with there life and to use those struggles to achieve greatness. So often we as a people hit a bump in the road and want to give up because things got alittle ruff, so take it from someone who has had two major surgeries, one of which life threatening to never give up HOPE for change is coming. Have FAITH in the divine creator for  "all things are possible thru HIM," for he will never give you more than you can bare and just when you think things couldn't get any worse than the already are DON'T GIVE UP for it is a test to see if you can handle the GREAT TREASURE or PURPOSE that GOD(Allah, Buddha,  etc. or which ever you perfer) has in store for you.

A young black male asked the question as to why so many educated black women are single, the answer my friend is that we are single by choice, and purpose. True indeed there are a lot of good men out there, but the majority are either already taken, living on the D.L., or not attracted to their own ethnic group. Also due to the fact that women are having to step up as head of the household because of an absentee man who rather act as if he is single instead of in a relationship. And lastly we women are tired of hearing the same tired %#&@$! line about opression, when glass ceilings are being broken by men and women of color everyday (i.e. Barak H. Obama)take into consideration the fight that your ancestors fought during the civil rights movements in order for you to be awarded the privilages we have today, so I say to you keep fighting to take what is rightfully yours, and educated the masses. Because women want a man who is GOD FEARING, honest, faithful, intelligent and not ignorant, Passionate, Sensitive to his womans' needs and idea, respectful, and last women want men who are natural born leaders, movers and shakers. So if you don't possess these characteristics please DO NOT waste my precious time by requesting to be my friend or sending IM's.
