I work in a Elementary school in Oxon Hill, Maryland. On September 24, 2023, a co-worker of mine was shot and killed in a drive-by shooting in Washington, DC. Currently, there have been no arrests in this case. According to "street chatter," the shooters shot the wrong person. My co-worker was only 22-years-old at the time of his death and this was his first job after leaving the "Job corp."
In a short period of time, the students in his classes were able to relate to him and they really enjoyed being around him. He also was taking care of his elderly grandmother at the time of his death. My "heart" goes out to his mother and the rest of his family.

I don't understand this!!! Recently, a caller has called my house cell phone 14 times over a three day period. I don't know this person and I don't know how he got my house cell phone number. I live with my brother and we don't answer the phone if we don't recognize the number. We just let the call go to voicemail. However, this person will not leave a voicemail. This is very strange.

A 2015 Toyota Rav4 was recently stolen in Washington, Dc. The suspect rode to the crime scene on a red bicycle. The suspect in this case was reported to be 12-years-old. If true, we have to do a better job of convincing our young people not to engage in criminal conduct.

An older couple was in their home in Hyattsville, Maryland on December 20, 2022 relaxing when several bullets came flying into their house. Luckily, they and their grandson wasn't hurt. We need to stop the violence in our neighborhoods!
