About the character

Queen Latifah plays the angelic narrator that can't help but find the beauty in the season. She sashays through her urban world, she doesn't let the naysayers like Bah-Humbug (Terrence Howard) cramp her style, and soon everyone around her feels a lift in their spirits.

About the actor

QUEEN LATIFAH (Producer and Narrator) is a musician, television and film actress, a label president, an author and an entrepreneur. Blessed with style and substance, Latifah has blossomed into a one-woman entertainment conglomerate. Heralded by the press and the industry as a force to be reckoned with, she has quite simply done it all and shows no sign of slowing down.

Latifah has had amazing success in Hollywood in recent years, and became the first hip hop artist to be crowned with a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame on January 4, 2006. She received rave reviews, an Oscar® nomination for Best Supporting Actress, a Golden Globe nomination and a SAG Award nomination for her portrayal as Mama Morton in Miramax's Chicago. Following that she starred in Disney's box office hit Bringing Down the House, on which she also acted as executive producer. She received rave reviews for her latest film on HBO, Life Support, in which she was both the star and executive producer, is a true-life drama, in which she plays a mother who overcomes an addiction to crack and becomes an AIDS activist in the black community.

About the movie

The first African American ensemble comedy for the Christmas season, The Perfect Holiday stars Gabrielle Union, Morris Chestnut, Queen Latifah, Terrence Howard, Malik Hammond, Charlie Murphy, Faizon Love, Jeremy Gumbs, Jill Marie Jones, and Rachel True.

Nancy (Union) is a divorced mother of three who is so busy raising her children that she's forgotten to take care of herself as well. With Christmas fast approaching, she decides to take her kids to the mall to meet Santa Claus, not knowing that her youngest daughter Emily (Khail Bryant) has sensed her mother's sadness and is determined to use her time with Santa to make her mom happy again. Just a few days prior, Emily heard her mom say that all she wanted for Christmas was a compliment from a man, so that's exactly what she tells Santa. Ironically, Santa, as it turns out, is struggling songwriter Benjamin (Chestnut), who ends up giving Nancy just what she wants for Christmas, and much, much more.
