.....
Those of you that have stopped by my page b4 know that at times I speak on various things on my mind at the time. BP plays host to so many different agendas, "trying to find that soul mate", "a booty call", business hook-ups", etc., Today, for me,...it`s to pay tribute to my Mother.

I apolgize now if this starts to not make sense cause I`m just typing what comes ....... Mom past on Dec. 15, 2004 while in the hospital. She had been in the hospital for 5 months. The picture you see on the page was taken in April of this year, a few months b4 she took ill. Some may trip at the idea of me doing this or may even call me a "Momma`s boy" but thats cool. My Mom was my Mom AND Father. Many times she did without so me and my siblings could have. When people comment on my character I point at my mom. She always instilled in us values that are missing in alot of youths today. That your word is your bond, to do you best in whatever you do, take pride in your work, be self sufficent, able to do for self. Not only did she teach these lessons verbally but in actions as well. Her walk did not conflict with her talk! She was quick to point out that she "was the biggest gang banger around" challenge her if you felt lucky. Firm, but yet gentle, wise beyond years. She was a Christian, not one that shouted "Praise The Lord" on Sunday, then cursed you out on Monday. She was faithful in her walk with the Lord throughout her illness. Once while in the other room I heard her praying, in her prayer she said, "Lord I even thank you for the pain." That said alot to me cause some of us are thankful when things are going well, but when things are not, are we? The Bible states to be thankful in all things cause there is someone that would love to switch places with you. Even then, while in the hospital she would talk about the Lord, letting people know as long as you had breath, there was hope. She impacted so many people`s lives and it became apparent at her homegoing service.

The turn out was large for her service. Various churchs, pastors, hospital workers, young men she had talked to in the neighborhood came to pay their respect. The service was lively, as she would want it! She was the pastor of a church, active in CAPS program, a member of the ministers alliance, prison outreach ministery, seniors home ministery,..to only name a few things that keep her running. People continously came to me at the service telling me how my mom impacted them. One other thing she did was have the early morning prayer meeting via phone that started at 5am mon.-fri. While I was home sleeping, she was praying for me. Her neighbor came to me at the service and said, "As many times as I heard your mother pray for me early in the morning I had to come!" I guess mom woke her up a few times praying cause she could get loud.
There`s no way I could put all that Mom means to me on this page, nor thank her for all she did. Someone once said that, ones life could speak for itself. Church was packed, service was lively, mom had childhood friend there (she was 74), flowers and condolences came from abroad, the motorcade processional was about 30-40 cars deep and police led, people brought over food almost every day to the house...... I never saw sooooooooooooooo much chicken and greenbeans in my life!! (lol) All that leads me to believe that I wasn`t the only one to know just how special Mom was. If I could touch half the people that she did, I would be happy,..........
Heaven has a new Angel,............See you later mom.

I thank all of you that kept my mom and me in your prayers, means more than u know.
