Recommend this profile to your Facebook friends. personal messageI am currently in a relationship. Thank you, everyone, for the interest, but I only come back now and then to clean out my mailbox. PLEASE PAY ATTENTION: I'm trying something new for 2010 - no kids. I don't have any, and I'm not trying to date anyone with children at the present time. If someone you know is pregnant by you, this also precludes you from dating me. Thanks for the thought, but I'm not interested. Also, for those of you who send me a note thinking that you want to date me - have the balls to say that. If you tell me you want to be friends, don't be surprised when I treat you like a friend, not a potential date. I'm a woman - once you get stuck in the mental friend zone, that's where you STAY. Making new friends is great, but if that's not what you think you want, don't set yourself up for failure. It's been a long time since I've really been on here - it's changed quite a lot. I'm a pretty relaxed lady, fairly quiet. I do, however, have a brain - you should too. Also, if you choose to send a note, open-ended questions are the key to having an actual conversation with me, as opposed to me just saying yes, or no, or some other factual answer and never thinking about it again. If you don't know what I mean, you probably shouldn't try to start a conversation - I can't see it going too well on my end. Addendums: For the ladies and gentlemen who don't know. . . Despite what BlackPlanet would have you think, voluptuous is not a garden-variety substitution for the word "fat". Per the Urban Dictionary: http://voluptuous.urbanup.com/ 1274905 1. having a strong sexual appeal. I must say, this posting of a picture has proven to be quite interesting. If you've been to my page before and left a note, I'd just like to say thanks for the compliments. Random Rumination: Why do so many people have "god-fearing" as a requirement? What if I'm not afraid of God? What if we have a healthy respect for each other? Then what? For all that, why are they afraid of God? If God is all-knowing, then he/she/it ALREADY knows everything about you, and you're already screwed anyway. Or, God loves you anyway, so it's still alright. So where does the fear come in? RE: Random friend requests: If we've never spoken, and I have no idea who you are, please don't send me a friend request. I'm flattered by the attention, but I will not approve the request. One exception: If you are just so %#&@$!ing fine that having you on my friend list as eye candy is worthwhile, I MIGHT approve it. RE: Notes and response times: I tend to answer notes in batches. Just because you didn't get a response 30 seconds after I read your note, doesn't mean I'm not going to answer. I have a life, but I'll get around to it. If that bothers you, either deal with it, or don't send me a note. People, people. . . Black Planet (and the internet in general) is NOT, contrary to popular belief, the game show "Wheel of Fortune" writ large upon the world. There is no charge for using vowels (the letters a, e, i, o, u, and sometimes y). Those letters are in words for a reason - THEY BELONG THERE. Please don't omit them from your notes to me. Also, this is not creative spelling - I absolutely swear to you, there's really only one way (in American English) for you to spell any given word. Typos are one thing, but the work some of you put into being "spechul" is really quite ridiculous, as well as quite the turnoff. |
