Out from the murk and mire of unfulfilled desire I overcame the lonliness. I was wholly dedicated but love was not reciprocated. And back then my life was a mess. Understanding now that she could have cared less. Man, I pleaded for fair treatment. Many times turned the other cheek. Admittedly, I cried all night long until I could hardly speak. I let it burn hot! Baptised in loves' fire. Then one day I finally found the strength to I let it all go. Don't think I ever want to love like that anymore.
