Billie Holiday was and remains one of the most profound female soloists/artists that this world has ever had the blessing of hearing.
Portrayal of "Billie Holiday" Indianapolis, Indiana
Historians: "TTT&T" ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Ms. AC portrays songstress or better known as "The Queen ofSoul" while singing "Amazing Grace" in one (1) spectacular performance. For more information send Ms. AC a note here at Black Planet! ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ (((For more information regarding future engagements just keep you eyes on this page. The Calendar for 2009 IS HERE!!!!!!! This is a `MUST SEE` performance and you Do Not want to miss it! Mrs. W captivates the moment as she tells the life stories of Harriet Tubman and Sojourner Truth; two couragious African-American slaves who were born for the purpose of experiencing the cruelty of slavery and yet they were given the blessing of being Abolitionists and speaking up for rights for African Americans and freeing hundreds during the period of slavery in America. While Mrs. W humbly recounts these events; Ms. AC melodiously and sometimes chillingly sings spiritual "Code" songs from the period that kept the slaves informed as to whether it was time for them to "Steal Away!" or just keep their mind " Stayed on Jesus" cause one day He was gonna free them. Some slaves were freed on the `Underground Railroad` and many died in passage ships in route to The Americas and in the fields. Invite Ms. AC and Mom to your church or community event and allow them to share African American history with you in dramatization. In 2008, let us not forget to thank God for the fore-runners that paved the way so that we could now have great jobs and families that were not born into slavery, but born in "Beautiful America" the place we are proud to call HOME."

January 20,2009, President Barack Obama made hisgtory as the FIRST African-American President of the United States of America! The first photo was taken in DC on the grounds of the mall, on January 18, 2009, which was 2 days prior to the inauguration. The 'energy' of everyone I met or encountered as we breathed in the beauty of what was taking place in our Country, was amazing! The second photo was taken on January 20, 2009, at the home of a family member.
