Ajia was born in Denver, Colorado on December 4th, she grew up in Las Vegas, Nevada. Her influences in music range from live bands, dancing, hip hop and R&B divas and power house voices. Her sound is known to be a mixture of the soulfulness of Alicia Keys with the charisma of Aaliyah and the lyrical confidence of Fergie. She comes from a musically gifted family, her love for music started at the very beginning of her life with her father being the main teacher,who was in the top 10 on the billboard charts, given the key to the city for integrating Texas with his music by MLK JR. And one of the best front men around still today . Her mother was a back up singer for her father who was noted as "The Blues man" in the 70's. In her teen years her ever growing knowledge in music would get a dose from a page in her older brother's book Corey Clark American Idol Season 2 and his group; started as teens out of Vegas named "NV" which included members Ray Blaylock, Corey Clark, Neyo, Soloman Ridge. During her teenage years Ajia grew a fondness for the stage and the spotlight while attending "NV" shows, never letting go of that desire; she attended college and is currently working with artists in ATL and Nashville. Now in her 20's while having big shoes to fill Ajia plans to take the music world by storm...stay tuned... ;-)
