This year I celebrate 8 years of being single. My last relationship ended in 1999. Of course it started with that heartbreak of separating. That lasted about a year. Every year, people all around the world pay respect to those victims of 911, Hurricane Katrina and the Tsunami. All incidents that no one expected or would have imagined would have such a deadly outcome. We mourn for those we lost and with those who lost someone close. Almost everyone is somehow connected to the disasters.

I grieve for the suffering of those who went on and those left behind to be reminded. But I wonder, how many dreams died with them?
