Sunshine and Rain
Would you roll with me in sunshine?
Would you play with me in rain?
Between the two, if we should meet.
In that space would you feel pain?
Or could you bask in that moment.
Where the intricate workings of God
Are made visible to the eye.
And somewhere, someplace in the sod,
New fruit is given life.
Somewhere hidden tucked away
It resides in me as well
Someplace too, inside of you
Let’s play show and tell.

FRIEND
I have a friend,
or maybe even two.
I might not have many,
but I can name a few.
There's one I like to talk to
about everything and all.
When I'm feeling down
she's the one I call.
Still another like my soul,
is my sister is my friend.
Her blood is thicker than water,
but she is not my kin.
Another I gave birth too,
and gave her a special name.
If you knew this kind of love,
you'd know our heart beat is the same.
Friendships grows with laughter,
experiences, yours and mine.
Joy mixed with sadness,
aged over time.
