Is it humanly possible to be remedial and mildly retarded at the same time? There seems to be a lot of that on this site. I'm just double checking.

In reference to the 2 pathophysiological diagnosis you give them as an example and wonder if they can coexist(remedial versus mild retardation) They can coexist in my opinion just as autism and asperger's can. If you treat each psychological component as an ingredient you can come up with  sort of psychological gumbo with a flotsam of micro processes dealing with various mental pathophysiological states.
