CHANCE FAVORS THE PREPARED MIND.
Those are words to live by these days. THOUGHT FOR THE DAY I am finding that veterans of this War on Terrorism are paying more and more of a price on an everyday basis. When at war they are concerned about being killed, and at home they are concerned about other factors that may interfere with the lives of their families at home. I am not saying that vets are supposed to be given special priviledges, but I am saying that they deserve some sort of break. The very people that safeguard the safety of this country and its way of life are being ignored. This is not right, and someone must speak out. Being back here in Iraq is just another reason I believe I am supposed to learn something that I did not catch on to yet..... A little about me. I am an educated man, and a former police officer (from Louisiana). I joined the military in order to do a few things and I ended up here on the ROCK; Hawaii. Right now, please take a moment to pray for all the people that are stuck in shelters in this upcoming holiday season and for those still in the "SAND BOX" (Iraq and Afganistan). ON A PERSONAL NOTE Seeking self improvement is something that I never thought I would be doing in this time of my life. In my college days I thought I had it all figured out, mind body and spirit; strenghten them all and you live a blessed and productive life. I forgot that everyday you live, you are learning something and the day you stop learning is the day you die. I thank God that He saw fit to remind me of this without too much of a consequence. Mental, physical, and spiritual conditioning is needed in order to live in this world and "not be OF this world". May God guide my steps, and may I be the steward He desires of me.
