personal message

What's up my beautiful black people? I am still here, still living,
learning, and growing. I hadn't been on the site for a long while
but something/one brought my attention back to the people of
BP...so here I am. For those interested in getting to know me,
please be aware that I am not interested in people with drama! I am
awaiting my soul mate and my best friend. Until then.......To all,
be blessed. A little bit about me: I graduated from Western
Michigan University, with my MA in Counseling Psychology. I am
working as a therapist here in ATL. I attended undergraduate at
NCCU! EAGLE PRIDE!!! I am 6'2'. I always enjoy meeting new people
who can hold intellectual conversations, as well as those who are
about progression, and the advancement of our people. Favorite
book: Lies My Teachers Told Me Favorite Basketball Team: (for ALL
the haters) DUKE, DUKE, DUKE, DUKE, DUKE GO DUKE BLUEDEVILS (second
choice) is them KANSAS JAYHAWKS and no I am not a female riding the
bandwagon, I am a lady born and raised in Topeka, Kansas, loving
the Jayhawks cause it's in my blood and always LOVING the
BLUEDEVILS! Motto: "There is no such thing as luck" Favorite
Movie:Happy Gilmore (don t hate!) Dr. Cornel West is someone I
admire. In his book "Race Matters" he states: "Humility is the
fruit of inner security and wise maturity. To be humble is to be so
sure of one's self and one's mission that one can forego calling
excessive attention to one's self and status. And, even more
pointedly, to be humble is to revel in the accomplishments or
potentials of others-especially those with whom one identifies and
to whom one is linked organically." TALK ABOUT FOOD FOR THOUGHT!!!
