Hello All. Who am I? Great Question! Ailisha was born and raised in St. Louis Missouri. Early in life she endured several obstacles that attempted to hinder her from a life filled with peace and happiness.God has been so great, that despite these negative experiences, He gave her a will to live and carry out His plan for her life. At the tender age of 18, she decided to go to college to further her talents and dreams of becoming a successful broadcast journalist. Eventually, she graduated from Middle Tennessee State University (MTSU) with a Bachelor of Science degree in Electronic Media Journalism/ Communication with an emphasis in Radio/Television and a minor in Public Speaking. During her academic career, she studied media writing, television broadcasting, interpersonal communication, electronic media and public speaking. Ailisha was able to take advantage of many opportunities that allowed her to further her knowledge in electronic media and communication. Ailisha had the privilege to speak about her experiences with people across the world. One of these included co-hosting "Close Up with President McPhee," a monthly show featuring the President of MTSU. She served as Vice President of Radio Television News Directors Association (RTNDA) and Vice President of National Association of Black Journalists (NABJ) at MTSU. Ailisha has also had the privilege to work for several nationally recognized television and radio stations within the United States. These stations include, but are not limited to: WTVF News Channel 5 Talk of the Town, WGNS Talk Radio AM 1450, WKDF Titans NFL Radio Station, KMOV Channel 4 News, City TV 10, and UPN 46 TV. Ailisha has also been blessed with the opportunity of starting non-profits organizations that are shaping the lives of many people today. These non-profit organizations include: Founder/CEO of "The Ailisha Vaughn Show" (talk show) Channel 18 Charter Cable; Founder/CEO Climbing Towards Destiny (CTD) Motivational Speaking Company; Co-Founder of Family First Crisis Center - Transition Living Program for Teen Girls; and Founder and CEO/ Alpha Theta Omega Christian Sorority, Inc. alphathetaomega.com Over 100 members and still growing. Please feel free to visit our website! She plans to continue her passion of shaping the lives of people through journalism. Her motto for life is: "Sometimes the mountains get high, and the climbing gets rough, but the determination to succeed is all that you need, because you're climbing toward destiny."
