Greetings to the cats who get it down and in on "Da Planet". Being as though this is a new year, I've had some of my Planeteers on here ask me to do a new rant for '08. I thought about it, and I've decided that I'm not going to do that. Alot of cats on here( and in the country, for that matter) have the shortest attention spans known to man. I feel as though I'm talking to deaf ears. I mean, think about it...With the way our music, our culture and the way we live within this culture has been stepped on, why waste my energy talking intelligent? Why give an effort that no one wants, or even understands? Some folks understand me, but they are the few who actually have a broader perspective on Life as a whole. The rest of y'all cats are too busy tossin', turnin' and tussling in a barrel with the other crabs. Who am I to judge, might be one thing that crabs would say. And, that's true, because only God can judge. But it's not like I'm pulling a theoretical statement out of nowhere; it's evident with all of the problems that plague the communities. People are letting their pain and lack of knowledge sign checks that their asses can't cash, and I'm sorry, but I can't relate to y'all. While I can say that I'm struggling to keep my head above water, I have the knowledge to tread water; alot of cats go deeper and deeper into the abyss. I don't have enough time and energy to pull y'all out, and still swim to the shores of prosperity, so, Fuck it!! Y'all do y'all thing, and I will do mine. But if you need help, you better ask me while I'm still treading water, because once I start swimming, I'm gone!! On THAT note, I'm out.
