Artistic Profile...My passion for the arts began when i was
10 years old. I started tracing illustrations and photographs
out of books, which helped me develope coordination for drawing
straight lines...Once i felt more coordinated i started creating
my own pencil drawings. Then i began sketching objects by eye, to my delight i was actually pretty good at it. I started
experimenting in various mediums,including..crayons,cha lks,
oil paints,acrylic paints,wood work,clay,metal,crepe paper,
and scissor cutting all of which i enjoyed. I then realized
that i had stories to tell, so i began to write creatively.
At that point not only could i express myself through writing,
but i could also illustrate my writing. Circumstances in my life
propelled me to write my first book entitle..The Story of Little
Kenny. This is thev uplifting story of an adventurous young boy
coming in contact with nature, learning about life in his own
way...This character serves as a positive role model for young
readers...The Story of Little Kenny deemed to be such a theraputic exercise for me,i began using my writing as a means
of self-expression. It actually opened the gate to my inner
mind. I started writing poetry about topics that had meaning
in my life. It was extremely fulfilling when other people
would read my writing and tell me it was meaningful to them as
well. It was then i discovered that i could make a difference
through my work.
